We have all done our fair share of blaming everyone from Jerry Jones to Wade to Garrett to scouting dept etc...(myself included)...

but lets look at this realistically.

The players are not executing.

ie. Those last two TD runs by the Ravens... we had 4 or 5 defenders surrounding the ball carrier and he got through anyway.

ie. Romo not hitting his WR's
ie. His WR's not catching the ball when its delivered or not running the right route or running the route through

The players... they dont execute.

It's pretty obvious.

I see these guys screw up and I sit there during the game and tell myself that I just know im about to get on the Cowboyszone and it will be Wade/Jason/Jerrry's fault.

Our fan base is dumb. It is the worst in the NFL.

People want to go to our division rivals boards after games and laugh at them. This board is 10 x worse.

And also this board does have everyone in check with what to type and what to not type.

But some people come on here and do nothing but troll posts. I can't understand why this is allowed when it is so obvious what the original poster is trying to do.

So what's the solution? Implications: keep the owner as GM, keep the coaches (because players not executing as a result of bad coaching has by implication been ruled out in this case), and ditch the non-executors.

So we get rid of a lot of talent and, due in part to cap issues, replace them with players who execute, chosen judiciously from the Big Cardboard Box Full of Affordable Players Who Are Known to Execute. Is this your master plan for a 9-6 team one win from making the playoffs?

Agreed in most cases....but it is the coaches respon. to put player in position ...the old adage...

Why is TO put in position to have "3" defenders on him most plays... cb under, S over....and sideline limiting.....

but lets look at the fake feild goal the Ravens ran.....have not seen it discussed. In the FG prior to that the Cowboys stacked up their left side very heavy in attempt to put pressure on kicker.......

the next FG try....the same formation by the Cowboys special teams--heavy left---and the Ravens in the time span between had prep'd up.......the right side of the Cowboys was light in run defense....the Ravens opened a gappeing hole....which the holder easily ran thru for a 1st.......

those are the things that you have to point at the coaching staff....and not just special teams....

I see Garrett, TO and Romo all out of the same mold......patience is not a virtue of theirs.....

if it is the players...then we have the WRONG coaching staff for THESE players. Romo is NOT being coached. The guys "coaching" him seem to be fans of his...or enamored by him. When the HEAD COACH has ZERO to do with the offense...that is a problem. He does not have to call plays, but he has to let the QB know you cannot throw the ball up for grabs. Who in this organization has gottene in Romo's face about the dumb throws. Who in this organization has gotten on this OL about the dumb penalties. Players are human...they make mistakes....but to make them over and over and over with the stakes this high.....laughable.

They have put players in a position to succeed.

Our players keep finding miraculous ways to lose games. Its been going on before Wade ever stepped up on the podium.

If anything Wade took the reigns off of this team and brought complexity to this defense.

So what's the solution? Clean house and acquire smart players? That seems quite a task, an inherently time consuming and risky one at that.

If anything Wade took the reigns off of this team and brought complexity to this defense.

And they have responded to his mid-season changes by pummeling opposing offenses (admittedly with a few notable, important exceptions.)

How do you know this doesn't happen?

How on earth could a Bill Parcells QB not realise this anyways?

People are in Romo's ear. You can bet on that. But nobody wants to see him go away from trying to make big plays. You can't completely hold him back.

The original poster is probably just venting, there are only a handful of people that are obviously trolls.

Why people are surprised the board goes bananas after losses like that one is beyond me, especially with the way this team is so up and down. It can drive one to drink and if you're already drinking, well the next stop is insanity.

How is that necessary? I mean come on. Are we the only fanbase complaining and maybe somewhat delusional in what we have here as a team.... as players??

I could disagree with one person on here or I could disagree with everyone on here... I wouldnt go and call them dumb.

Anyways.... My thread doesnt let the high tier people (Jones, Wade, Garrett) etc off the hook... but at some point the players just have to "get it" or they dont.

I am hoping they get it.

Nope. I rarely vent on here.
That was a clearheaded, well thought out thread start.

Its a good practice for some to get into.

The solution is to not fire someone or make drastic changes after a bad season.

Only 1 team wins the ship.

If we fire and cut everyone after a bad season than we will eventually fall into the Commanders/Raiders category.

Jerry is making smart moves and he gets blasted for it. But a lot of you would rather see him take the Al Davis / Dan Snyder approach.

You have to understand the opponent and the situation. it is called managing the game. QBs that cannot be trusted have the coach managing the game for them. That is what happened in Seattle. I think Parcells was wrong. Seattle had 4 guys in the secondary they got off the street...Parcells should have let Romo play. The Ravens are a team that thrives off of turnovers and mistakes. They are not an explosive offense. Heck Ray Lewis said it himself before the game...Romo is up and down...and if you pressure him....he will give it up. Because of the oppoenent....this was a game where the coaches should have been more restrictive on Romo.

As a whole our fan base is worse than any other and its not even close.

We have a lot of bandwaggon fans and a lot of those fans are the ones who get caught up in anything ESPN feeds them.

Wade has never won a playoff game. I guess it was the players in Denver and Buffalo too, huh?

Just off the top of my head I could see the Commanders fans being worse... or just a few weeks ago... the Eagles fans wanted to take McNabb to the nearest Guillotine.

Besides there is no way you could substantiate your "Opinion"... because thats all it is..... it certainly isnt fact.

Hey, I'm all for moderation. I don't really mind Jerry. We'd probably be better off with a coach like Cowher or Holmgren but firing Wade and others could have unintended consequences (such as having to settle for a coach other than Cowher or Holmgren).

Here's my main point/gripe (as someone with a lot of experience teaching): If most of the players (or students) are screwing up and underperforming on a regular basis then it's quite likely the coaches'/teachers' fault.

Wasn't talking about you specifically, there's nothing wrong with venting. Not everyone knows other Cowboy fans to vent their frustration to and not everyone handles a loss well.

Some are irrational Sunday night and Monday and can process better come Tuesday.

How many people have sworn off the Cowboys only to show up in the game thread the following week?

I agree but our offense has deep routes on nearly every passing play.

TO gets doubled and runs defenders off. That is basically his job. The offense goes through Witten.

So when Tony runs around and escapes sacks and see's someone open briefly 40 yards down field then there is nothing Jason can do at that point from trying to stop Romo from making a play.

A lot of times the original offensive call we have gets thrown out the window and it gets turned into backyard football.
