that's cold6 carries last night, not worth a thread

We have Rico and the fullback now we really just need a third guy for the rotation. Maybe it's cook.It is when he's taking an active roster spot and there is a guy on the practice squad who is a better runner and fit for this roster.
There ya go! Gore Jr., Vaughn or some other young RB with potential.I'd call up Cook and Malik Davis or look at a PS guy like Frank Gore Jr (BUF) or Ke'Shawn Vaughn (SF)
Quick google search shows that was Rico's first fumble in 150 attempts. Zeke's averages a fumble every 87 attempts.I still would have used Zeke on that goal line attemp, Rico is not that effective on short yardage and seems a bit propense to fumble.
Rico fumbled at the 1.Zeke isn't getting as many carries because Rico is outplaying him.

Yeah that could have got him benched if Dak didn't save his bacon there. The bottom line though is that Zeke is not producing in the backup role. Some guys can come off the bench and some guys can't. It is what it is.. Zeke appears to be one of those guys who needs reps to get into a a rhythm. The Cowboys are not even using him in short yardage and red zone like they should so at this point they may as well bench him, cut him, trade him or whatever. The only way to get value out of him on the field is to use him and if you're not going to use him then why is he here? He's a team guy who will never complain but this is as much of a waste as it was under Kellen Moore. I still think this team's best chance of having a real running game is pounding with Zeke and changing up with Rico. But they aint gonna do that so "Give 'em hell, Rico!!!"Rico fumbled at the 1.
He did, but he was having a great game before that. If McCarthy knew he would fumble at the 1, then he wouldn't have had him in there, but Dowdle had not fumbled once since he'd been here from what I've read.Rico fumbled at the 1.
It will be duece. He didn't even see the field Sunday.Following the depth chart, Zeke would not be the sacrificial lamb if Cook were added to the RB gameday lineup.
You’re living in the moment. It’s easy to sit here now saying Zeke shouldn’t have been signed but Dowdle had yet to establish himself. We needed the competition in camp and the extra backs due to losing Pollard. Dowdle has taken control of the starting position, but he’s still an average back. Had Dak not fallen on his fumble in the closing seconds everyone would be wanting to move on from Dowdle. He would’ve been persecuted had the game ended with that fumble.Time to bench Zeke? He is basically benched already. He should have never been re-signed in the first place. Rico has the job. But I agree they need to bring Cooks up to see what he can still do, anything. Otherwise why did they sign him in the first place?
I still say they need to make a trade to get another back. No offense to Rico, he had a good game, but he isn't the answer to our running woes.
Just cut Zeke and be done with it.Zeke was incredibly slow and he’s rarely on the field. There’s no reason to not try and see if Cook has more juice.
Don't tell me Zeke in pass-pro yadda yadda; Zeke is barely on the field, we don’t miss his snaps.
Gore Jr could step in and be Kenneth Walker type back TODAY.I think they can cut Zeke and Deuce. Chance Deuce gets picked up elsewhere but if not, to the PS.

What difference does that make? How can a guy have a fumbling issue if he has fumbled once in 150 carries?Rico isn’t Zeke.
Let’s see Rico get a rushing title.
Then talk.
The radio was saying something about how the camera caught Zeke in the locker room and he was so banged up he couldn’t get his shoulder pads on without help. The guy is just sadly done. I actually think he looks faster this year than his last year that he was here but clearly his body is failing him. Cook looked very similar in NY. I would bet there’s a practice squad guy somewhere that has more than either Zeke or Cook can give.
I think Rico Dowell is playing good footballLeupke is assuming the short yardage power back role we all thought Zeke would fill.
Cook's slashing style as a backup is a better fit for the RB group than Zeke, who offers very little at this point.
