He's great when he can actually get on the field, but I think overall, he he is at best a net neutral part of this team. He is taking away snaps and development from someone else. Obviously, he isn't going anywhere this year, but I say we relegate him to backup and spot duty, and try to find his replacement in the draft.

Needing some attention?

Wow, they could have kept Keith Smith if Lee was not taking up a roster spot. We'll rue the day...

His salary was low this year so it was not an issue from that perspective to keep him.

His salary is still fairly low in 2016.

In 2017 his salary jumps to 7M which would be high if he can only play a few games.

I almost posted this exact same thread last week...before this latest concussion. You just had to know it was a matter of time before something else was gonna happen. I mean seriously....the guy pulled himself last week because he got a fat lip.

Really????? A LBer getting a fat lip......

Next thing you know Lee is gonna pull himself from a game because he got his beard caught between someones helmet

Too bad the Cowboys didn't take your advice to draft the TCU LB in the 1st. Were you going to trade up in the 1st to get him?

Why even worry about Sean Lee? You know exactly how this will play out

He'll always start when he's healthy as his contact obligates and may even win you a ballgame or two as his talent has shown.

He's going to miss a ton of games

He'll get cut the last year of his contract.

Then move on to another team and play 5 seasons in a row without missing a game and win a Super Bowl

Just chill it was never meant to be

Lee is playing Sunday.

Ten years ago, he would have finished Sunday night.

Tons of concussions this weekend in the league, like every weekend with the new protocol.

He's like Bob Sanders for the Colts used to be. Sean Lee for 8-10 games is still better than most LBs for 16 games. I'm just curious what LB behind him is he stopping progress? The only LB in the same discussion with Sean Lee on talent is Ro McClain, who is just as reliable.

This is a spot on comparison. Bob Sanders presence played a huge role in them winning the Super Bowl in 06.

why were at it let's just get rid of Romo ....we can use the same logic with him as well and if we're replacing the QB on defense might as well replace the QB on offense...

Cowboys having a tough time with injuries so far. Maybe they'll weather the early storm and emerge a better team for having done so. I sure hope so.
