I love him. Don't get me wrong but the past several years now have been hard to watch.

He has a neuromuscular issue that is getting worse and each season the window of efficacy is shorter and shorter. He lasted 3 games this year.

This is not to say anything about his attitude, work, ethic, or skill. He is simply not worth $13m AAV and we need to better allocate resources moving forward.

What is your definition of several years?

Yes it is sadly time for him to retire it appears... The body will not allow him to be dominant anymore SMH

The correct thing to do? Absolutely, given the diminishing returns.

Will our GM make the correct, albeit tough, move? Not in a million years.

I think it was a massive mistake to hir Monty Kiffin and employ a 4-3 defense with 3-4 personnel.

Put me down for this.

Especially after putting $50 million and 1st and 2nd round draft picks to acquire man corners.

He sure did nothing but run behind the qb last night. That would be a pretty balsy move by jj, but could we be any worse without him?

I don't see how it's tough if the cap savings are true. Tough would be if cutting him saved maybe a couple mil.

Not tough for me. Tough for Jerry.

The man (actually Jimmy) won 3 Super Bowls by jettisoning older, less effective star players (D White, R White, Too Tall, etc.) from the previous regime, yet he hoards his own "star" and slightly good players like a 90 year old woman in a house full of cats.

The man can't let go, and we all suffer for it.
