It depends on how you define "save".

They save all of this 12.25M base if he is a June 1st cut and get that much extra cap space in 2014 (16M-3.75M=12.25M). There is 5.8M on the 2015 cap regardless of whether he is cut before or after 2014.

Now if you compare cut to restructure, then you only save 3.125M in 2014 by cutting him, but you push about 10M into future years.

Ever since he got carted off the field in 2009 it's been downhill though.

Don't get me wrong, the grace and power that defines his peak form has been on display many times since but then he gets dinged and is a shell of his former self

When Bushrod is b-slapping you........................time to hang them up...............go out with some dignity Ware............nobody wants to watch a once great player get dominated by scrubs at the end of their careers. Put him in the ROH, he deserves that.

He just needs to give back to the organization and take a pay cut and perhaps reduced role. He just said he needs to get back to the old Demarcus Ware. I'll give him the rest of the season to see if we can see a flash of it, an entire offseason to get healthy and see where we're at when the season begins next year.

Come on, Hoof. Looking forward, do you feel confident that stinger is going to be any better? He needs to be a part time player. Limit his snaps to 3rd downs and move into a Jeffcoat role. He is really only worth half of what he is earning.
