It's Time To Panic

Tell you what why don't you panic. Panic is never the solution. It is embarrassing having fans like you whining and complaining at every turn you panic and worry about every single thing

Maaaaan you said a mouthful and dead on point.. Embarrassing is exactly what it is...

Actually 3 changes:

Flo Replaced

Barron added

Young added

Go back to the Vikings game and look at the starting line that got destroyed post Flo's injury. It's the exact same starting line that we have now - hence "no changes".

so does that then discount all the game they played well helping this team make it to the post season last year? No doubt line played poor vs Minn but that same line also played strong down the stretch to help this team to post season. I hate the fact we are dealing with some injuries but thankfully this is the pre season and not in the middle of the reg season .

I don't want to make any foolish trades...you don't get something for nothing.

(from another post)
Such whining and over-reacting.

Yes, we might struggle more than expected.
Yes, we might even lose a game we expected to win.

However, we still have linemen.
We still have a mobile, franchise QB.
We still have receivers and running backs.
We still have a top defense that is stingy giving up points.

Most importantly with all this panic over Colombo and Kozier...the season doesn't end 4-6 weeks from now...it will have just begun.

kind of pointless to panic halfway through the preseason. I'll panic if we lose 2 of the first 3 and it doesn't look like guys are going to come back after the bye week. This isn't Madden. Who's to say that even if we draft all those guys you like, they don't get injured?

well Hos for those of us that have 40 to a page its only on #3.

I can't believe this crap got to 7 pages.

Scratch that, yes I can.
You have to know we're getting closer to the real season when the hysteria around here reaches these ridiculous levels.

I'm a bit scared now with Kosier down, but injuries don't always equate to losses. The Packers had a ton of injuries last year and Rodgers likes to hold onto the ball. Plus, they had a super hot Vikings team in the beginning of the season that looked like they were going to go 13-3 or 14-2. Their defense wasn't exactly looking great, they lost to the Bengals at home (when people thought the Bengals weren't going to be any good), but they hung in there, protected the football and made the postseason.

I don't think Holland is a bad player by any means, but we need some depth now since we have two 2nd stringers starting and nobody worth a damn at backup center. But, the sky isn't falling....yet.

I think we should just disband the franchise. The Kosier injury pretty much assures our demise. Oh well, it was a good run, but it has to end sometime. In this case before it ever starts.

Actually, I realize that as long as "I" as a fan, take it only one game at a time, the Cowboys will be fine, but if I start looking down the road, this team will tank like total losers. That's what happened on the Minnesota game last year. I got caught looking ahead, and look what happened!!

Just wanted to know if there's any more optimistic people out there saying that it's just preseason and everything will be alright.

The injuries to the O-line are more than worrisome. I feel like this Cowboys team is a Ferrari and the O-line has the Ferrari sitting on cinder blocks..in other words..nice to look at but useless and will never go anywhere.

It's time to get desperate like the Vikings and trade for Mankins.

The Dez Bryant pick is looking pretty fail right now since there's going to be 2 seconds for Tony to make his reads. WHat's the point of having all these weapons?

Who would start pulling the trigger on some moves?

Ok, HOW MANY of y'all wanna do-over on your vote for "Worst Poster"!?

:p:

I wouldnt say it's completely unjustified, though. Our starting O-Line opening night in Washington is going to be Free, Holland, Gurode, Davis and either a rookie, Alex Barron or an injured Columbo (who has been awful thus far)

Only one of those guys has been worth a damn in practice and preseason thus far, and it's the one guy we were all worried about (Free) to begin with. Funny how that works out.

The point is, while it isnt time for a full blown meltdown, I would say a significant amount of worry is warrented

If it was up to me, our Oline would consist of Nick Mangold,Michael Oher,Jared Gaither,Mike Iupati and Vlad Ducasse.

and everyone would be thanking me.

And all but one of those guys was traded for.

So your offensive line would consist of a prow-bowl center, two rookies, a player who has yet to practice at all this offseason because of a back injury and another who's about to play left tackle for the first time this season.

And of course, no Dez Bryant, no Sean Lee, and who knows what to trade up to draft Oher.

No, I don't think anyone would be thanking you at all.

That line, as presently constituted, only played one game - or part of one game, the game against the Vikings. They were not good enough, and we made no changes regarding the starters.

if the skins win in week one they'll have to shut down this website.

Everyone is going to tell you things will be all right. That is of course, until midseason or in the playoffs the oline just completely collapses because someone is either hurt and we don't have an adequate backup or the starters are playing through injury.

Why worry about the things you can't control?
