O-line collapsing much quicker

This is definitely true. But he's staring down his receivers often and looking very tentative about deciding if/when to release the ball. I know he had more time last year, but I just don't recall seeing these tendencies.

They need to simplify the game for Dak he’s not there yet.

I would love to experience the feeling of going into a game knowing that the team has an advantage with coaching and scheming. I don't think that's been the case for a long time.

I was at the game and you can see from the stands who had the most creativity.

i saw plenty of open wr from my seat today. Today was not on WR/TE.
As Michael Irvin has said many times, anybody can get open, but getting open at the right time requires great skill.

Mosy fans always think there are open receivers on every play.

Not saying these are definite, but it might be time for some to begin to think about some of these potential realities.

1) Dak might not be that good. He looks uncomfortable in the pocket. He throws a lot of ducks and bad passes. He seems to get gun shy the first time something bad happens and suddenly the dump offs start to come in waves. It makes me crazy when it's 3rd and 8, and he literally hits Beasely in like a second on a 5 yard out. He doesn't even scan the field at times, immediately looking for the quick dump off. Is that Prescott or is that the coaches?

2) This staff is blah. They aren't awful but they aren't really that good either. There is no "freshness" or creativity to anything they really do. It's pretty basic and if it doesn't work, they kind of go into panic mode a bit in a game. I, personally, am growing tired of the logic around here that we need to continue to draft well and let them grow with Garrett. Maybe it's just me but if you need to load the entire roster with young and cheap talent to get the most out of your coach, guess what? You have an issue at head coach. Don't tell me that you can't judge Garrett given roster limitations when a rookie head coach just handed you your lunch (twice) this season. The sad thing is that barring a total collapse this year, another .500 or so year just gets Garrett another year. The Jones family is too close to Garrett to be objective and rational. They are going to waste a couple more years of this young core on finding out what is pretty obvious.

3) There are some issues with the OL. I am betting on continuity being a big factor here but something is not right. They may have made a mistake going Collins at RT and Green at LG. Maybe that should have been reversed. Then again, how can you rely on Green? They may need to draft an OT again high this draft (first three rounds or so) because I doubt they would spend any money on FA on fixing the issue.

This is just an average football team. They are and that's a reality. They are frustrating to watch because at times you see glimpses of something you think is a legit high level team but that is often fleeting and too many times you get the crap ball you saw today.

Frankly, it's so frustrating that for the first time in awhile, I just don't feel like talking about football much this coming week.

Your second point is spot on.

I wanted to specifically comment on the part that I put in bold.

Garrett's limitations as a head coach were on full display in 2015. The man could only scratch out scratch out one win without his starting QB that year. Go back to 2013 and 2014 and you see the same thing. Whenever Romo was out of the lineup the Cowboys lost under Garrett. Meanwhile other NFL head coaches somehow manage to win from time to time with guys like Weeden and Cassel.

Garrett on the other hand has to be carried to victory by Pro Bowl caliber QBs. Which makes you wonder, if he can only win games when he has an upper-tier QB at his disposal, what's his value as a head coach? To me it's pretty damning.

Thank you Theebs

Its sickening that homers on here are completely absolving Dak from any blame today

If you had paid attention here over the years you would know I base my comments on analysis and Theebs bases his on emotion.

Umm I sat in my seat and watched them running open.

Witten was wide open for a td in the end zone.
Williams was wide open and a throw out in front of him is a td.

Dez was repeatedly open and was given no chance to catch the ball.

Guys were open and right in rhythm but had no shot at the ball.

and eyesight.

I'm big on that. If I can see it right in front of me I tend to believe it.

for instance Jason Witten was wide open for an easy td and the ball was thrown terribly and he had no chance to catch it.

get back to me on your analysis on that.

Dez has already saved Dak from 4 more interceptions this year by playing defensive back.

Dak can make magic plays but his down to down pocket awareness stinks and his downfield accuracy is subpar.

The O line hasn't been elite but it isn't like Dak is getting hit and sacked all the time. He has happy feet back there and looks uneasy.

All that said we'll only win 7 or 8 games this year due to the putrid defense and coaching

You can't really analyze a game from watching it live. You can't watch Dak and the receivers at the same time.

I'll verify on All-22 this week. If you're correct I'll admit to it.
