I don't think I've heard anyone say our defense is great or even good this year. I have heard people say they didn't play badly against the 49ers. They didn't play great either, but it wasn't as bad as most expected, at least for that one game.

That said, I don't think anyone has any misconceptions about our defense this year.

WE don't know how to draft defensive players, that is why we are in this situation. Our best defender in week 1 is a guy who hasn't played football in 3 years.

I know some people that, they think alcohol makes them see better....:)...in their own opinions that is....

Mo does need more time, this is his pre season, as usual...:)

The #1 focus all off-season was the DLine and they had a decent game.

What I wish I knew was who they valued long-term across the defensive line because it's truly going to be a rebuilding project, much like the offensive line.

Do they love Brent? Is Selvie a stop gap or do they want him to start at DE if everyone is healthy. Who are going to be the center pieces across this DLine for years to come? They sure seem to like Coleman a lot.

Not sure what to expect from defense right now, there were some good things I saw from the defense and things they need to improve on. Never considered myself a so called blind loyalist. Do you consider yourself a blind hater? One game of the season is not going to tell us a lot especially when the offense turns the ball over resulting in 14 points (1 a return for a TD and the other returned to the 2 yard line)

In terms of our pass defense I think our secondary needs a veteran back their to get things lined up pre snap. Usually it's a safety but when Scandrick comes back he will be that guy. Hopefully sooner than 4 games.

Last week was an anomaly; the turnovers dictated the outcome.

If both teams (offenses) protect the football, we'll have a better idea about how good (or bad) this defense will be.

True, Right now do not know what to expect out of the defense I know they were put in a bad position right off the bat. I did see some good things from players on defense and with the return of McClain and hopefully more snaps by Melton we will see more plays coming from defense. Overall as a unit how good or bad I think has yet to be determined.

Idk how you guys can say that you don't think they are that bad. they have the worst talent on defense in the NFL, if you think they will be good then your talent evaluations are way off.

I think people want to see them play not go by your scouting report. You say it is the worst talent in the NFL I doubt you are equipped outside of your own personal feeling to make that call with any real knowledge or expertise. So excuse us lay people the opportunity to see them play before making such bold comments.
I always love fans who think their opinion counts for anything. lol
