I was full on board with keeping TO. He led the team in TDs and yds and I think he really needed to kept. I don't think he was as big a distraction as was manufactured by some in the media and some of the fans which latched onto the hysteria. I also was against cutting T.O. because we simply don't have anyone as good as him on the team at his position. We would be cutting a great WR because of a bunch of misinformation.

With all that said, after reading the Reeves issue and now some inside confirmation that they are indeed discussing his release, I don't think there is any other alternative. If this happens though, they need to go out and get a TJ Houshmanzada (sp) to draw some coverage from Roy Williams. Otherwise, we are right back in the same boat.

I hate flipping like this but it sounds like so many have bought into the hysteria, that maybe we need to move on.

I just hope he doesn't end up in Washington.

On the contrary, let him go to Washington. I'd love to watch the Cowboys beat him up twice a year.

Changing your mind is all well and good. And I thought about it.

But there is nothing really reported that is factual for me to do any sort of flip flopping on my part.

Its all sensationalism.

Weapons(media machine) of Mass Decisions(your decisions). That is a problem. People, you and I, make decisions based on wrong info every day. That bothers me.

I agree that Terrell Owens needs to be cut.

However, I disagree that Terrell Owens needs to be replaced.

I believe the Dallas Cowboys could get back to be a "run" team with the stable of Runningbacks that we have.

Also, I believe any compotent Offensive Coordinator should be able to devise a successful passing scheme with Tony Romo, Roy Williams and Jason Witten.

But the big question is do we have a "compotent" Offensive Coordinator? I believe someone like Tony Sporano would have this offense humming with or without Terrell Owens.

There are teams that made the Playoffs with alot less than what we have even without Terrell Owens.

The guy will be making $9.6 Million in 2009 and his production hardly warrants a contract of that magnitude.

I do believe his numbers being deflated had alot to do with Jason Garrett but Terrell Owens is so toxic and the type of player that forces everyone in the Organization to draw a line in the sand and take one side or the other, regarding him.

Jerry Jones please get this guy out of the lockerroom.

Was it you or 'Cactus Cowboy' that said they would never watch another Dallas game when Owens was signed?

Also....

Why add another slow aging WR.. If you are going to overpay for TJ you might as well trade AZ another first rounder for Boldin if you cut TO.

Just like they beat him up when he was in Philly (Roy ankle break not counting)?

Your high..

TO was Garcia's go 2.

TO was McFlubb's go 2.

TO is not Romo's go 2.

He's 35 now.

Furthermore, your contention is poor because the Dallas Cowboys were horrible pre-2005.

Where was it reported with any certainty that they discussed T.O.? Only thing I saw was some story where the guy pulled it out of his bottom.

If T.O. was that big a contention point for Reeves, you'd think they'd have discussed it before he took up an office.

You have to get thrown a catchable ball to produce....

Balls 10 yards over his head, 2 yards behind him and 15 yards underthrown in triple coverage do not exceed his one drop a game.

This board is getting worse. IF TO gets cut and as soon as Roy tweaks in footsie, you and everybody else will be grimacing as Miles Austin fumbles a on a key 3rd down and Crayton is unable to run away from Antonio Pierce.

And?

Did he not produce when he was hit in stride?

Oh wait.. Now I remember. He did.

If we cut T.O. going out to sign TJ Whosyourmomma would be dumb.

We are better off using the luxury of us having 3 competent running backs and making R.Willaims #1 and having Austin as a #2.

Turning this offense into a run oriented one will be the best thing for this team.

Yeah, let's cut TO. He's to blame for everything. The guy is a cancer. He brought down the whole house of Cowboys simply by opening his mouth and questioning the moronic game plans of Garrett and the work ethic of a QB who looked like crap this year. Boo hoo.

Oh yeah, and he divided the locker room by snitching on his teammates. No wait, wasn't that JW, self-appointed King of the Cowboys? No? Maybe it was Patrick Crayton, big mouth extraordinaire. Or Terrance Newman, who found his mouth more often than he found the ball? Ellis, who's daily whine fest would give Napa Valley a run for it's money?

How to you spell the word 'scapegoat'? Terrell Owens. How do you spell media character assassination? Terrell Owens. A media that now brandishes pitchforks instead of objective reporting.

I'm in favor of releasing TO for his own sake. And run, don't walk to a better team, TO.

Put the blame where it truly belongs people. On Jerry, and his incompetent coaching staff. INCOMPETENT. Jerry's gone underground when this team needs a show of unity. Wade couldn't lead a team of baby ducks to water. And Garrett? Couldn't handle a team of medicated mice. Let's see, who's the DC again? Oh yeah, BLANK.....ST Coach? Reeves' SIL. Oops.

Well, as I try to sort out this mess, I'm reminded of Wade's words at his hiring, when asked about TO. Something about, 'This is a family and he's a part of the family."

So, then, what does family mean again? Oh yeah, when things go bad, you kick out the scapegoat. Because there's usually a scapegoat in every dysfunctional family.

Well, maybe it is time you found a new family, TO. Heaven knows, I'd bail on this one with all the in fighting, finger-pointing, and lack of accountabiiity by almost every Cowboy, including the coaching staff.

I have mixed feeling on this but if TO is with the team then I expect him to go out and do the job and be a big part of the offense, if the organization feels like they can't deal with him anymore I can't blame them after all 2 other organization ended up doing the same thing.
