On the contrary, let him go to Washington. I'd love to watch the Cowboys beat him up twice a year.

Amen.

And let him whisper to teammates how Zorn is a lousy play caller.

And convince his teammates that Jason Campbell can't throw, and isn't getting them the ball enough.

And be an example for Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly of how a professional shows up late and falls asleep in meetings.

I pray he goes to washington if Dallas cuts him. Dont tell me your scared of the over the hill, aging wr who cant get off jams clean and ruins teams. Tell Newman to jam him with Hamlin giving deep help. Thats the blueprint i hear. TO will make JC good and you haters will be wondering how. I dare Jerry cut TO

Oh yeah, and he divided the locker room by snitching on his teammates. No wait, wasn't that JW, self-appointed King of the Cowboys?
Since you have it all figured out maybe you can explain how there can be a snitch when TO says Ed made it all up.

Like they already did and hence why they were in Zorns doghouse for the 1st half of the year.

The TO lynching mob really is running through life with blinders on, dodging a tree but not noticin they are going deeper into the forrest.

Whatever makes them feel better. Deferring blame is easy to do.

It's easier to blame one guy than to admit the entire organization is taking a nose dive, that's for sure.

I don't think the Cowboys should cut T. O. I think they should shoot him.

And?

Did he not produce when he was hit in stride?

Oh wait.. Now I remember. He did.

Put Romo in for the 3 games in 2008. TO is STILL producing at a high level. 2007 season rivals 2001 season.

This team was 1 win away from at least securing a playoff birth. I have asked in numerous other threads what game TO cost the Cowboys
  • Wash #1
    • Barber runs 8 for 26, Felix 0 for 0
    • Romo throws pick to Chris Horton late (TO not intended).
    • Def allows ~200yds to Portis and Betts
    • Moss had a big day.
  • Arizona
    • Opening Kick for TD
    • Blocked punt for TD
    • Romo sacked 3 times
    • Romo fumbles 3 times
      • Would have ben 4 fumbles and 4 sacks if the tuck rule in the end zone wasn't applied
    • Cory Procotor played
    • Owens catches 4 on 9 targets (last 2 were after Romo broke his finger in OT and the ball was uncatchable - yet he was open)
    • Barber catches 11, runs 17 times for only 45 yds
    • Smells like an Oline problem
  • RAMS
    • Brad Johnson
    • The Defense (last game Stewart calls)
    • This was the most pathetic excuse of a game for the year
    • I think the team looked at how utterly inept Brad Johnson was and set there with mouth agape like me
  • NYG
    • Chances are we may have lost one of these anyway, but
    • Brad Johnson
    • Cory Proctor
    • Brooks Bollinger
    • Defense couldn't stop Jacobs
  • Pitt
    • Romo 3 Ints
    • A backward bouncing punt from Pitt 5yd line to the Pitt 33 hits our guy (easlily costing 3 pts)
      • D forces 3 and out, but pitt punts to Dall 8
      • Romo Int
      • Pitt FG
    • 2 horrible INTs (short armed a fade to Owens and the pick 6 intended for Witen
  • Balt
    • 2 early Romo picks that were putrid. Triple coverage to Williams, "punt" to Owens (the last one gave Balt 3 more pts right before half - How big were those when the score was 26-24?)
    • 2 70 yd runs by ...Willis Magahee and Leron McClain..yeah
    • Hamlin not picking up the fumble, leading to fake FG, leading to TD
  • Phil
    • Jesus
    • Of all of the faults in that game, Owens was #40 or greater
Injuries
  • Romo - Not the same after the injury, timing off
  • Felix Jones - TD in first 3 games (0 touches in 4th game)
  • Barber - May have worked too hard with capable Choice on the bench
  • Kosier - put Proctor on the field (instead of Holland for how many games?)
  • R Williams #38 goes down (Watkins getting trucked wasn't a good personell move)
  • Newman was out
  • McBriar was a bigger hit than most realize (how many >50 or >60 yarders did Palescu have)
1 win out of all of that. Starting with the Wash game, the offense was not the 2007 version and got worse after injuries.

Also, the absolute most drama/turmoil week "caused" by TO was before the NYG game #2 (which was a win). I would take 16 weeks of that drama if they played like that every week.

Who knows what the team will do in 2009 without TO? All I know is that with him, they have been a top 5 offense and his "stats" taking out the 3 Brad Johnson games were just not that differrent from last year.

The reason I mentioned that he is 35 was because the poster stated that if we released Terrell Owens, he would burn us like he did when he played for the 49ers and Eagles.

Furthermore, his argument isn't even that strong because the Dallas Cowboys teams Terrell Owens faced, especially the one in 2004 weren't very good.

The Cowboys shouldn't allow themselves to be held hostage by a 35 year that whines and complains when there is even a modicum of adversity.

I can just feel another myopic sheep with no real football discussion, just "Its all TO"

Romo is a god, The OLine was elite, RW11 needs a TC to be better than TO ever could have dreamed, The defense played fantastic every play, etc.

I gave specific examples and scenarios in games and all the collective football shaman here can do is revert to the "easy target"

Sometimes, its just not a team's year. However, The Brad johnson, Cory Proctor, ST debacle led to at least 2 losses (Rams, AZ) and Romo played a biger part in Pitt and Balt than any other player. I don't see how anyone can refute that, but I would love to here a well thought out reasoning.

The Johnson, Proctor evaluation should have cost Garrett his job. He lobbied for Johnson last year (by all reports).

That's 4 games. We lose 7 (3 by less than a TD)

Doesn't matter, RW11 and Miles Austin would have tripled that amount

Miles would have fumbled away his chances and Roy might put up similar numbers if JG uses him correctly.

Like Felix Jones getting 0 touches in Washington after break-out games in Philly and GB?

Exactly....

And not sure why people think this 'three headed monster' will exist.

When both Felix and Marion are healthy, TC might get 2 carries a game. Hardly enough to 'spell' anyone or make a difference as backs of all people need consecutives carries to get into any type of rythem carrrying the rock.

Myopic sheep that I might be, I don't think all of the fault lies with Owens. Not by any means. I think Owens is a problem and needs to go. I don't think Owens begins to be the only problem.

I do tire of your protestations of wanting to "hear a well thought out reasoning." You want to "hear" nothing. You want to insult those with whom you do not agree. Be honest enough to acknowledge it.

If this happens though, they need to go out and get a TJ Houshmanzada (sp) to draw some coverage from Roy Williams. Otherwise, we are right back in the same boat.

No that is such a bad idea. Can we please please please quit trying to pick up other teams' stars and bring them here. What we need instead of another reciever is for our QB to learn how to spread the ball around and how to take care of the ball. We also need Patrcik Crayton to step it up, he is capable, and Miles Austin to be more involved, as well as the mythical Issiah Stanbeck (what a joke). Adding TJ H. does nothing for this team, book it.
