Commanders (1-0) at Cowboys (1-0)
One of the best rivalries in the NFL has been lopsided lately, as the Cowboys have beaten the Commanders 14 out of the past 15 games. That is embarrassing for Washington.
The Commanders have to attack Cowboys quarterback Drew Bledsoe and pressure him into mistakes.
To make matter worse for the Commanders, the Cowboys will induct Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin into the team's Ring of Honor. Jerry Jones and Bill Parcells want to win this game more than any other home game on their 2005 schedule.
Mark Brunell will start for the Commanders after coming off a brutal 2004 season in which he threw for only seven touchdowns and had a 63.9 quarterback rating. The only chance Washington will have at keeping this game close is if coach Joe Gibbs makes sure that Clinton Portis carries the ball close to 30 times and racks up over 150 yards. The Commanders controlled the ball for over 34 minutes in their 9-7 victory over the Bears in Week 1, and that has to be the formula to get out of Dallas with a win.
Prediction: Cowboys 21, Commanders 20
