Commanders (1-0) at Cowboys (1-0)
One of the best rivalries in the NFL has been lopsided lately, as the Cowboys have beaten the Commanders 14 out of the past 15 games. That is embarrassing for Washington.
The Commanders have to attack Cowboys quarterback Drew Bledsoe and pressure him into mistakes.

To make matter worse for the Commanders, the Cowboys will induct Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin into the team's Ring of Honor. Jerry Jones and Bill Parcells want to win this game more than any other home game on their 2005 schedule.

Mark Brunell will start for the Commanders after coming off a brutal 2004 season in which he threw for only seven touchdowns and had a 63.9 quarterback rating. The only chance Washington will have at keeping this game close is if coach Joe Gibbs makes sure that Clinton Portis carries the ball close to 30 times and racks up over 150 yards. The Commanders controlled the ball for over 34 minutes in their 9-7 victory over the Bears in Week 1, and that has to be the formula to get out of Dallas with a win.

Prediction: Cowboys 21, Commanders 20

that's being generous for the Commanders' anemic offense, regardless of our new defense.

i say 24-13 cowboys!

good stuff, yeah I dont expect him to do much this week, or any week for that matter. I think theres no way Portis goes for 150, we held LT to 72.

I say Drew B has another good game, and Julius gets over 100. Price gets a few and Crayton has a big game.......Boys win 28-13

He threw for 325 and 2 TDs against us last year.

Have you noticed that we upgraded our secondary this year?

Bill Parcell's thoughts on history...todays PC

Question: Cowboys won 14 out of 15 against the Commanders?

Parcells's Answer: "Doesn’t mean anything. History doesn’t mean anything in football."

Yeah, I noticed, but that has what to do with the idea that Brunell can get hot?

I also noticed an inconsistent pass rush, without bringing the blitz.

Two wide open TDs, and several 3rd and 4th down conversions through the air against our improved secondary.

You know I do remember Badattitude saying one time that he did have another username here. A surprise never the less.

Big difference between starting thread after thread of doom and gloom, and mentioning that Brunell threw for 325 and 2 TDs last year...he can get hot...and then replying with the same level of sarcasm when someone made a smart arse reply to that fact.

We have improved, but the facts still remain that Brunell can make plays, we still needed to blitz against SD, and those two things can lead to a few big plays that could make this game closer than we'd like it to be.

I do understand that he threw for 325 yards, but I remind you that when you are playing from behind, you usually post big numbers.

A good runner can cause a team to but up good passing numbers. IMO, last week on so many pass plays for the Chargers, the boys were not getting after the QB fast enough because of the threat of LT trying or attempting to run.

Just that split second hesitation can open up all kinds of passing options. And that will be a problem for us again this week.

But we have new guys who are gelling - we have a new look defensive line and scheme - we have a LB crew that is still trying to figure things out. We were playing an outstanding team on their home turf and I'm sure it was like a mirage to the young guys. So in saying all of that - as the year goes on, we will get much much better, but Monday night, I expect us to get it done.

BOONELL is terrible no matter what. Another one of the Skins bad aquisitions. Just waiting for the time Campbell takes over. The D is excellent (better than in 2004) and will keep most games close. The best way to play them is use bruising backs and throw short. A-Train will be more effective than Jones. Witten would be the best go to guy for you.

You only need to capitalize the first word in a sentence, but I guess you were too busy making excuses for your sorry team to go to school that day.
