Skins lose 28-0 - there offense sucks and their D is way overrated. We roll all over them. Brunell or no Brunell - he aint nothing. Roy and Ware will say hi to Portis (hopefully in the backfield) and he will become a non factor. Remember this is the Commanders we are talking about not the patriots. Sheesh.

Trolling Has Begun!!!!

You All Keep Making Your Assessments On Brunell. He Played 1 Game Healthy Last Year (1 Game!!!) Played On 1 Leg The Rest Of The Year!!!! This Game Is Going To Be Close But Its Laughable To Think Your O Is Going To Put Up 28 On Our D!!!!!

His rest of the year was a whole 8 games. He was a smoking 8 of 14 with an unreal rating of 70.9 last week against the bears on 2 good legs*yawn*

Bill Parcell's thoughts on history...todays PC

Question: Cowboys won 14 out of 15 against the Commanders?

Parcells's Answer: "Doesn’t mean anything. History doesn’t mean anything in football."

hmmm, tell that to Peyton Manning......Steve Spurrier and Florida OWNED him in college even when UT had better teams.....now the Pats OWN him.
History may not mean much to the incessant winners...but to the recurring losers, once things start to go wrong it's "here we go again" and the losing is perpetuated....
For the Foreskins, they have completely different roster every year so I'm not sure if any of the players even realize or care that we've owned them.

Big difference between starting thread after thread of doom and gloom, and mentioning that Brunell threw for 325 and 2 TDs last year...he can get hot...and then replying with the same level of sarcasm when someone made a smart arse reply to that fact.

We have improved, but the facts still remain that Brunell can make plays

70 yards in 3 quarters of play, against a demonstrably worse defense than the Cowboys, suggests he can't...

A 5.0 yards per attempt average over his last 10 games suggests he can't...

Yeah, he put up some decent numbers in preseason-- against scrubs... not once did he get on the field against the other team's starters... and when he had to face a legitimate NFL defense last Sunday, he reverted to his form from last season...

IIRC, he had a pretty good preseason last year, too, which is why he opened the season as the Skins' starter...

I find it rather unlikely that he could put up 200 yards passing against the Cowboys' defense, and wouldn't be surprised if he put up less than 150...

I'm not saying the Skins have no chance in the game, I'm just saying I'm reasonably certain that Mark Brunell won't be the one who beats us...

I disagree.

Unless we beat ourselves with turnovers or ST blunders, we will focus on Portis, just like we did LT last week.

We will force them to beat us with the pass, and if they pick up the blitz or hit on a screen, Brunell has the experience to hurt us.

I'd much rather have Ramsey in there at QB for them.

I'm with you Cbz, I can't take this guy seriously. Parcells cares about this game exactly as much as he cares about the Giants and Eagles home games. Jones might care. To think Parcells gives a damn shows you have no knowledge of him.

Purcells is saying this because its what he wants his players to believe.

History is very important in every facet of life. Purcells knew that the Eagles had tried that on-sides kick in Campo's first game at Texas Stadium and had his guys ready for it a three years later when Andy Reid foolishly tried it again.

Purcells and all coaches study film to watch for trends. Teams develop habits. Some teams get into other teams' heads. Some players have a history of injuries or drugs. It's all history. And its all important.

Purcells is just BSing.

good stuff, yeah I dont expect him to do much this week, or any week for that matter. I think theres no way Portis goes for 150, we held LT to 72.

I say Drew B has another good game, and Julius gets over 100. Price gets a few and Crayton has a big game.......Boys win 28-13

I think we can keep him under 100. Washington has no receiving threats, just as SD, so we can focus more on Portis like we did LT to some degree. And Brunell is not what he was and Brees is better, so I think we can handle them alright.

Does anyone know what yardage Portis had against us last year.

I know Chief....but....No game is a gimmie. We had better be ready to play.

I think we win the game if we are ready to play and if we don't get caught up in the hype.

Are you blind? Bears D worse than the Cowboys? On what basis is your D good? You got lit up by a passing attack whose best wideout is 2 years away from social security. You all stunk last year on D. You had a miracle win and referee aided win in your other win against us (now start whining about this quote, but take off your blinders and admit it, the Monday nighter last year was the poorest ref'd game in recent history!) Come on. At least most skins fans are realists. I thought I was a blind homer. Our Passing game sucks until we prove otherwise. Your D sucks until the Boys prove otherwise.

God I love the rivalry.

Go ahead take your shots.

PS: The poster who took a shot at my grammar, sorry I'm not being graded on my posts.

The boys have owned the skins for almost 10 years now its a fact. But times will change and nothing better like them changing on Monday night.

300+ and 2 tds no picks and you still lost the game....ummmmm I would have to say our CBs have been upgraded from those we had playing this time last year.

I certainly hope Brunnell has a little mobility left in those old bones.....otherwise it may be a long night.

OK, I agree on Brunell and mobility.

But that Statue behind the Cowboys o-line better beware :)

I loved your QB in NE but his scrambling ability in 2005 is far far worse than our old man Brunell :)
