I just don’t understand the urgency from some to make sure cox plays right now….he is the future hopefully but the defense has been playing very good and lve has been lining them up. Cox will get his time sooner than later

Quinn is not infallible. Just ask the folks in the Atlanta. For some reason this team has habit of not letting back-ups challenge starters for playing time. Look no further than Donovan Wilson. The dude is the most physical player on our defense but it took an injury to get him on the field. He's been here since 2019.

He was hurt last year....I hear you, coaches don't know everything, but they know more than fans that aren't at practice or breakdown film everyday.

Yeah, but they don't get to coach with the same 20/20 hindsight that we can use to form opinions. I like Quinn and I have no idea what goes in practice. I just remember Jabril at LSU and I know he's better than LVE when healthy. ...... LVE is struggling against the run and I don't see how the Dallas coaching staff can't see it. Why not try someone else for a quarter ? Thats not football insider stuff but just common sense.

Fans second guess coaches at any level....I've seen it up close and personal...some fans are knowledgeable because they sit in the stands every practice and most of those are actually worth listening too, because they know how to approach the coach. The ones that speak out of their backside and base everything from watching a game and not bothering to breakdown film with the knowledge of the call on the field and what that players assignment is....those are the ones that you ignore and then laugh at in the coaches office.

Because he played it for a few snaps last year before he was hurt apparently. He knocked jones out at the goal line.. Then a injury.

Neither is LVE, but Cox is more physical and plays the run better. LVE is clearly protecting his neck and not shedding blocks. So why stick with something that's not working? Split the snaps and see who plays better.

Held accountable.... What??? As a fan, I would have liked to see Jabril Cox play linebacker, even for a little bit. Exactly what crime is that...? Relax!

He played in 2020. Last year he got injured a few times, groin in TC which flared up in the opener causing him to miss 5 games. Then after that he landed again on IR after an injury in the chiefs game. The team brought in Kearse, Hooker and Kazee to compete as well in 2021.


This year he has played 81, 100, 100% and tbd of the snaps in 4 games. He wasn't overlooked by Quinn.
He was the 3rd safety this year, and still would of been a part of the defense even with Kearse here playing a hybrid role. Can't be mad at Quinn for last year when Wilson couldn't stay healthy.
