Though I really didn't want a RB after Zeke or Henry, would have rolled the dice with another year of McFadden....then looked for the 2017 draft for Formette....but if they did take a RB later Yeldon would have been the 3rd RB at the right pick.

Fournette will be a very high draft pick. Did you want to be terrible again this year to get a RB who won't even be better than Zeke? Not getting this strategy. We got the best guy for this team in the 2016 draft. No question about it. Not even close.

The cognitive dissonance is incredible.

In some ways I get it though. People always get on Jerry for liking shiny toys...but it's really the fans who enjoy the bling.

Yes, us fans who like the Zeke pick like it because we like "bling," not because he's the most complete RB prospect since Peterson who is leading the NFL in rush while the Cowboys sit at 5-1. Brilliant.

So now we're counting yards that didn't actually happen (97-yarder), lol?

The reason why he didn't fall when he was hit in the air was because he landed on Swaim who was blocking a defender.

Who said I was counting those yards...that was not what the post was about...please go back and read it....and understand it...

That's not what I said or meant.....I was saying IF we did not get Zeke or Henry, I would prefer we waited to 2017 to get a top RB.
I,been calling to draft Zeke for 2 years.

Its funny you call Zeke bling, when his value is not the jukes or home runs, but the dirty yards, 1st down runs, 1st down %, blocking, pass catching and high football IQ. You're points are the opposite of what they should be to make your point. Probably because your point doesnt exist in real reality.

It's completely mind-numbing that people watched a 2015 season in which a washed up 28-year old running back in the wrong system suddenly rush for 1,000+ yards in 11 starts at a 4.6 YPC clip WITHOUT the benefit of anything remotely acceptable running the offense at QB.

Yet, it's somehow far-fetched for some to think we couldn't have found a more talented running (than DMac) in either free agency or later in the draft or Alfred Morris to team with Romo or Dak and found similar success.

For me, it's because McFadden was borderline awful until the final four games of the season. He averaged under 3.3 yards per carry 7 times over the first 12 games.

And Zeke has played behind an offensive line missing two starters for one game and one starter for most of the season; hasn't had the outside threat of Dez to take any pressure off the running game for half of the season; and has played with a rookie QB that half of this board criticizes for not aiding the running game by not throwing it deep.

Again, through these eyes, some of the most impressive part about Dak/Zeke has been their ability to withstand numerous injuries that in the past would cripple our team (aka our ground game against Arizona minus Romo in 2014).

Yes, talk about "cognitive dissonance."

Also what is the definition of a broken tackle....in the grasp and breaks free...runnnng over a defender.....I used to see defenders try to reach in and grab Emmitt, get a tug on a jersey, Emmitt runs on through it, and the announcers would say he broke a tackle.....but really did he?
Where did this 11 seat number come from.....and is it a real number?

I'm wondering the same thing. One story says he leads the league in yards after contact. Another says he ranks in the bottom percentage wise in the same category.

Ok carry on. I read that wrong.

But even if we missed Henry/Zeke, to get Fournette next year, we would have to be really bad. I don't think we would have been that bad this year to get him.

Wow, not a Bortles fan, but all I've seen all night is a sea of baby blue rush jerseys running at him in waves.

Anybody that watches the games can see that Elliot creates tons of yards after contact. Only breaking 11 tackles, if a true stat, is a useless stat, because it means the definition of breaking a tackle is something that doesnt impact the game in any important way.

Few can dominate the meaningless portions of a ballgame like Blake Bortles.

Im instantly thinking of the play where he hurdles a guy, lands, and stiff arms another defender for more yards.
