You are always going to be drafting need when you sit on your hands and refuse to fill holes in your roster with free agency.

one for ones that we signed, which right now that's about 5, even though free agency just started talking about so far in the offseason, and one for the ones we lose..

Ironic, so far the list of signed seems larger even though you said that one wouldn't exist.. Because if you count the ones we lost ,they were on the team right? so the ones on the team signed ,would be additions because we could have lost them, I mean is that too much logic for you guys?

there could be two separate threads stuck to the top that can continually being updated that's better than having a whole bunch of these I get the sarcasm that you tried to do but in here it gets so old it's not funny anymore...

I meant signing outside free agents; which means the Cowboys would be actively trying to improve the talent and depth of their roster.

Keeping your own players is necessary but it is not making the team better. It's just maintaining the status quo. The Cowboys are only doing half of what they should be doing in free agency.

I love that contract for Lewis, but I hate it for his new team.

-Lewis will be 30 in Week 1. CB is normally not a position that ages well - those guys can't afford to lose a step.

-Lewis isn't a premier athlete to begin with, and doesn't have a step to lose. Stud NFL athletes usually age better than average NFL athletes.

-Lewis is one of those guys who looks better the less exposure he gets. His payday probably means that the Jaguars are going to put him in a feature role, and he's historically been picked on when Dallas put him in those spots.

Again, great deal for Lewis and good on him to get a big payday to end his career, but I don't think Jacksonville will be happy with this signing 3 years from now.

I think he’ll do fine there and I agree with you why it’s OK letting him walk but that is another hole to fill now
