That's way too much for him especially for us to payWe made an honest offer

That’s probably more than his career earnings to date… can’t exactly fault him, especially when you consider his game is more veteran savvy than athletic ability at this stage!3 years 30,mil
Look, I'm not happy he's gone,Yeah this one leaves a mark!
You are always going to be drafting need when you sit on your hands and refuse to fill holes in your roster with free agency.Even with all the other needs I would not be mad at a CB in the first round now. So much for having the luxury of getting a big play running back or wide receiver early on.
Unless you did the same with the QB. That would have made it all make sense.Shouldn’t have offered such a crap deal last year. Wanting everyone of your solid but not super star players on one year deals is crazy.
If we only posted about players the Cowboys add, this thread wouldn't even exist.Look, I'm not happy he's gone,
but you can't keep everyone!
why is everybody in here do this,
if we would have signed him there would have been a group around here that would have said we like our guys ,why do the Cowboys only sign our guys, hell Bob's got a whole post on why do we keep our guys..
I mean you guys can't like get on the same page everything that happens you're not going to like,so if they kept him you'd have figured out a way to say it was too much money, we like our guys ,you let him go, now we should've kept him...
you guys are like bipolar, all of you..like let the process play out, every team is losing players and lots of them or there wouldn't be free agency, there wouldn't be trades.. you'll need to calm down..and can we please make one of these stickies at the top for all transactions that happen because we don't need to have the same response for every player lost or gained because it's going to just clutter up the front page with every player having his own post... hiw about one for each lost and one for each added....?????????
Well...I kind of figured he was headed elsewhere. And I thought you could plan on burning one of those 5th rounders for his replacement. Hoping Jaylin Smith USC is the guy. We will see....Best tackling CB is gone
I hope he gets a chance at winning a SB, though Jacksonville might not be the place for that.Always happy to see a player who actually seemed to care escape this organization. Good for you JLew!
Actually not,If we only posted about players the Cowboys add, this thread wouldn't even exist.
I meant signing outside free agents; which means the Cowboys would be actively trying to improve the talent and depth of their roster.Actually not,
one for ones that we signed, which right now that's about 5, even though free agency just started talking about so far in the offseason, and one for the ones we lose..
Signed; OSA, wheat, Hoffman, Thomas, Bell, and Goodwin.
LOST; Jlew,
Ironic, so far the list of signed seems larger even though you said that one wouldn't exist.. Because if you count the ones we lost ,they were on the team right? so the ones on the team signed ,would be additions because we could have lost them, I mean is that too much logic for you guys?
there could be two separate threads stuck to the top that can continually being updated that's better than having a whole bunch of these I get the sarcasm that you tried to do but in here it gets so old it's not funny anymore...
I think he’ll do fine there and I agree with you why it’s OK letting him walk but that is another hole to fill nowI love that contract for Lewis, but I hate it for his new team.
-Lewis will be 30 in Week 1. CB is normally not a position that ages well - those guys can't afford to lose a step.
-Lewis isn't a premier athlete to begin with, and doesn't have a step to lose. Stud NFL athletes usually age better than average NFL athletes.
-Lewis is one of those guys who looks better the less exposure he gets. His payday probably means that the Jaguars are going to put him in a feature role, and he's historically been picked on when Dallas put him in those spots.
Again, great deal for Lewis and good on him to get a big payday to end his career, but I don't think Jacksonville will be happy with this signing 3 years from now.
Depends who the guys are....I guessGuess we don’t like our guys.
