Jaguars sign Jourdan Lewis - 3yr $30 million

Good for him man. Fought his way to becoming a pivotal player on defense. One of the only players that has that real dawg in him. Gonna miss him but glad he’s not going anywhere in the division. Best of luck JLew!

What's the guaranteed money?
For all we know there's ~12-15 mil base, all non-guaranteed in year 3.

Corner in round 1 (especially on a small trade down) is looking more and more realistic

Sadly if you make it to free agency without a deal you are probably gone. Broaddus was right this looks like a second purge. What I don’t understand is what do they plan to do with the 60 million in cap space.
I’m not sure what the max rollover is, but it’s at least 20m, so count on that.

Somehow they think that keeps them ahead of things.

This roster is about to be as top heavy as you’ll ever see. They like their jersey sellers.

You mean what do they plan to do over the next four to five months or just in the next 4 hours I mean you guys are just the most impatient people I've ever seen it's not gonna be a super purge some of these players are coming back.... They're going to use the $60 million for something but they have five months to use it and all the way into the trade deadline..

.
Problem is it becomes very difficult to spend $60M in cap as free agency goes on. Not saying people should be overreacting to day 1, but we should probably be looking at this from a matter of weeks and not months. Months from now you're looking at signing the Erik Kendricks and Linval Joseph types. Not that that is a bad thing, but those guys cost about $5M combined last year. The Cowboys have a chance to legitimately fill holes on the roster with some 2nd wave guys. This isnt a great FA class though so we can only let so many guys go before we actually jump on an opportunity.

Give it to ONE GUY. After all, you really only need Parsons to win a championship.

At least they try.

The Jags must think they're a mere corner away...

Yes...one must give them credit for that. While the Cowboys continue to deteriorate. Without some big moves, and a lot of luck in the draft, I don't see five games in the win column next year.

I honestly don’t see how anyone thinks this team isn’t headed right into the NFCE basement.

I guess people figure the Giants will be awful forever. They find a QB and Dallas is buried for a while, and they did it to themselves.

Maybe they wouldn’t have won a title but they could have made it much further with a couple of veteran moves in the 2021-23 range.

The only thing I can be somewhat happy over is these two are about to finally be exposed, and just maybe that eventually leads to bringing in someone who is capable to run things.
