Either Minshew pulls a Foles and has the Eagles clinching a first round bye, doing just enough until Hurts gets back. Or the Eagles will go on a losing streak without Hurts and their number 1 seed will be lost to the Vikings. We're really about to see if Hurts was the MVP after all or was it a similar situation to Wentz in which the team is good enough to win big games without their starting QB.
Your opinion has validity.

They can lose the next two and still win the division. Cowboys have a good shot at 0-3 over the remaining games.

Wow! So the division and top seed might be back in play. If Minshew plays poorly for the next few games, we could steal the top seed.
It’s not in play in reality. Philly would need to lose to Dallas, New Orleans and New York.

Dallas would need to beat 3 playoff teams in Philly, Tennessee and Washington.

Keep in mind, this wont matter has Minnesota has 11 wins and lost to Philly. So they would need to have Philly lose all 3 and win all 3.

It’s false hope

Game planning for Minshew is much easier than Hurts.

Minshew is great, but Jalen hurts you running, passing, RPO, leader of the team
It's easier, but Minshew is no statue back there either. The RPO is still an option for them

Yeah, he's injured. Like Tom Brady, couple of years ago he was on the injured list with a shoulder every week, never missed a game. Don't believe for a minute he has one, or if he does it's just enough to be able to put him on the report, but not nearly enough to affect his play.

But kudos to the Eagles, by putting that out they did two things - tried to make Dallas think they have a chance to play them without Hurts and gave them a built-in excuse if they lose. Nice bit of gamesmanship....

Keep in mind, this is huge for Minnesota who has 11 wins
If the 1st round bye was in doubt Hurts would play. It’s his non throwing shoulder. If Saturday meant anything he would likely be playing.

They probably won’t say it’s definitive he is out until they have to. Why give us an advantage to start prepping solely for Minshew and who knows maybe its a very slight sprain and he does play

Way to blow the Green Bay and Jacksonville games. So Cowboys, can’t take advantage of anything.

Might not even be able to take advantage of Minshew being injured. As the defense wasn't able to take advantage of the Texans or Jaguars who had injuries on the offensive side of the ball.

Keep in mind that Philly has the Saints 1st round pick. I think Hurts is back for that game week 17. The way teams are bunched up at 4/5/6 wins, a saints victory could cause the pick to drop by 5 places or more.
