... said nobody in 2018. You clearly do not have a working knowledge or memory of the NFL draft. Nobody thought Lamar was going to be as good as he is and thats a fact. My point stands. Coming into the NFL from college, Milroe is the better prospect and his draft position will reflect it. He doesn't have to faster than Lamar. He's fast enough and a better passer coming into the league. Saban said he was the fastest guy on the Crimson Tide and thats saying something.
just not really showing all that much for most of this season

Im talking about 2 human being that played division 1 football and 1 was VASTLY better…you’re trying to use hindsight of where Lamar was drafted, but that hindsight was wrong. Lamar was incredible in college and continued it into the pros. Why would NFL execs being wrong 7 years ago come into play when comparing 2 players??

Not to mention you’re talking about meaningless media projections in October as if they are written in stone. You have no idea where Milroe ends up getting drafted. He’s at best the 3rd QB prospect in this class, and could easily fall further.

Trying to compare Milroe to Lamar is crazy. The gap between what Lamar did in college and what Milroe is doing is light years.
And Hurts was a better prospect too
Hurts couldn’t read a defense to save his life in college against lol. Milroe is much faster than Hurts and has a better arm too.

Well, I remember Lamar in college and he great even though he lost a lot of games. I think Milroe is something between him and Hurts.

I would use a 2nd round pick on him.

I would too. Maybe even earlier. He is moving up my board. A good chance he is a top 20 pick. It would be so nice to have a qb that can run like that.

He is not ready at all but the overall stats and athleticism will make some team be suckered into drafting him early. The popular comparison will be to Lamar Jackson and now Jayden Daniels but Milroe is so raw as a passer even in comparison to them. Lamar threw the ball way more at Louisville in Petrino's offense.

For the sake of his long-term career, I really hope he comes back another year. Otherwise, he will have the same fate as Trey Lance
He doesn't have to be ready. He can sit in the 1st year.

If he’s available in the 2nd I’d 100% take a flyer on him…Lamar wasn’t a good passer in college but his rushing ability was so good it allowed him to get on the field early
and develop while he figure it out in the NFL.

Not saying Milroe can have the insane progression Lamar did but his rushing ability is off the charts.

Jethro will not do it; he wants desperately for Lance to succeed so you are probably a couple years off before we take another QB high

Jerry actually wants Rush to play against Washington. I think that they should play Lance.

I suspect that he will start the Giant game in the battle for the top pick.
we have seven games to go
If he were to go wire to wire in all seven games we should be able to get a good read on him
does he have the potential to be a very good starter or is backup his ceiling

I'd also like to see Will Grier. I think he could be the 2nd qb next year.
