NFLN reporter based with Chargers said they are not in love with Tunsil or the DE prospects including Buckner and are looking at Ramsey hard.

Essentially said they think Tunsil is athletic but needs work and that they think they can get DL help in other rounds.

They are open to trades but no calls yet.

I think they definitely did their some diligence, but from what I understand, he did not do an official visit, and DB was covered in free agency, while D-line was not. Not to mention the beat writer for espn seems to think it's Buckner. Even if they are torn, if they think they can extort a pick from us, why not?

Ramsey has come out and said he's a CB. He will push, maybe even demand, an opportunity to play there. I don't know the man so I don't know if he'd take it to the point of distraction but it's an element a lot of people who want him at safety don't consider. Will he be allowed to play corner and if not will he become a malcontent?

Sounds good, I honestly think the chargers are going to draft Ramsey, they want impact and feel they can fill in the roster in other rounds.

You have to remember, like us, they have premium picks in most rounds.

I want Zeke but could live with Ramsey.

I still think the interest in Ramsey is a smoke screen though, if they wanted Ramsey, they could just come out and say it. Are they worried that Philly will trade the #2 pick, no. The only benefit in keeping it secret is it gets the trade market swirling.

They basically told the reporter and said they want impact and all accounts point to Ramsey.

They said they are not in love with the tackles or DE's so do the math on impact.

They are open to a trade but the calls are not coming, yet.

Absolutely...Brandon Carr, O. Scandrick, Mo Claiborne, JJ Wilcox, B. Church and Byron Jones are all entrenched in some capacity.

More and more mock drafts I am seeing have San Diego taking Buckner.

Well most mocks are just that but Jeffri Chadiha was at Chargers headquarters and said point blank he was told they want an impact player, not Tunsil and not the DE's.

They feel like they can get similar DE's later in the draft and draft at the top of the rounds.

He said they are looking at Ramsey, an impact player at #3.

I won't be surprised if the Chargers trade down. It will be telling how quickly they make their pick if this was just a big smoke screen. If they make their pick right away, they had their guy all along. If they milk every second of the clock, they are looking for someone to throw them a trade offer
