If Quinn doesn't play much better he could be leapfrogged by
1) JD Booty
2) Brian Brohm
who both look to be pretty good prospects

Booty is only a Junior, so he'd have to play real good to bypass Quinn. IMO.

Brohm is also a junior. I agree that he has the potential to bypass Quinn despite both QB's slow starts. Brohms' has been less dramatic. Quinn has looked awful in two out of three games. He can't continue his current play quality and remain a top ten pick.

idiocy/ignorance sometimes runs rampant on this board. I can't believe you compared Russell to Quincy.

We shall see. I still think he'll be where he's been projected.
So do I. I don't think he was a 1 year wonder.

Are the teams doing something different against them this year. I don't think he had two games this bad all last season.

The rest of their schedule is pretty weak, so he should pile up some pretty good stats between now and the USC game.

Michigan was just on today and Quinn wasn't.

It happens to even the best of players. I'm not a ND fan, so I have no attachment to Quinn at all. I just know he's a hell of a good QB prospect.

I want a QB in the 2007 Draft but doubt I'd get my wish anyway. OL and WR with a possible NT in the mix.

and supposedly can throw it 60 from his knees. By all reports, he's a great kid too who has had positive male role models around him that kept him on the straight and narrow.

Kyle Boller did that at his pro day before the draft, do you want him?

I may pick him in the 3rd round, but I wouldn't waste a 1st/2nd on him. I may not even use a 1st day pick on him.

Are you the Youngbuck from dcfanatic's radio show?

If so, I apologize first for calling you Youngblood. My bad. Second, if it is you, you had some very interesting stuff last show. Thanks.

first of all, I was just commenting about the arm strength of Russell. 2nd, had anybody, I mean anybody, who lived east of the mississippi river even heard of Boller before he came out of nowhere? Only those who really followed Pac-10 football did. Boller was a combine workout warrior. Russell is much more talented than he is. Brian Billick's cockiness/arrogance in that he thought he was a QB guru also led to that guy being drafted so high.

I had heard of him, but I breath everything football HS on up. You're reasoning for wanting to draft him was his arm strength, so that's what I adressed.

How about his career 55% completion average, or his 2:1 TD/Int ratio. Those are a few more reasons why I wouldn't spend a 1st day pick on him.

OK don't call me an idiot, defend your boy!

i was wrong to compare him to Quincy, Quincy has done more in the NFL than Jamarcus Russel will ever do.

Sorry if I insulted you i had just finished watching the LSU game and i was still really mad at that idiot for not atleast trying to get the ball in the endzone.

Obviously i don't think much of him the tigers have not been as good as i think they should be with him at the helm.

If you ask me Brian Brohm is the safest possible bet for a QB in the draft. Brady Quinn looks good but he has been a victim of the big bad hype machines covering them. Russell is not a first round talent but looks pretty good.

Yeah you did. There is no denying that. Personally I enjoyed every minute of that game.

Michigan is good they have an unusual amount of talent this year, and at every position. Burgess at LB, Woodley at DL, Hall in the secondary, Henne at QB, Hart Grady & Minor at RB, Manningham & Breaston at WR, Ecker at TE, and Long on the O-line... This team is loaded...

Show me where I said I wanted to draft him? Go back and look at the first post. I have never mentioned drafting him. I just asked if anybody else liked him and mentioned the physical tools that he has and the fact that by all accounts, he's a good kid.

I have no need to defend Russell, he's not my boy. I'm watching college football just like everyone else. I just can't believe that you'd hold Carter, in a higher regard than Russell who is a much better prospect than Carter ever was. Remember why he came out early?
