I'm sure The Quest for Six appreciates this vague and yet occasionally-coherent support for what he brings to the board. Good stuff.
Way too intellectual, TD.And yet if you predicted 4-12 and it turned into two play-off games, and you then self impose your penalty for mis-predicting by making a huge signature admitting you were wrong, and wearing it all off season, how does that work out for your lambaste of others on this board?
I mean are these scribes making strawman arguments against someone's opinion coming from those who predicted possible play-off outcomes for several years in a row where the team fell short and then kept their mouth shut and did not own up to it, like you claim others do?
Because I seem to remember years of hope being dashed on the rocks of poor seasons, and all those who were on the side of hope predicting same, were never taken to task for their gaffs at augury.
I find back biting to be one of the least attractive forms of personality on this board. Frankly it takes even less stones to ridicule someone else under the flag of team spirit.
Then allow me to make a point. I have seen you over the years predict seasonal success only for it to fall far short of your suggestion. Not you alone, but an entire cadre of people on this site making those 10-6, 11-5, 12-4 predictions.
Did you see anyone come a runnin' to call you or them out on it the next time you sidled up to the prediction window?
Nope. Most of us who were there just went on about our business while you stayed mute on your opinions, while writing bunk like your original post I quoted above..
So I find it both business as usual, and highly hypocritical of you to make comments about others, since the people who routinely have doubted the FO, coaches and players on this team in the past seem to not held your feet to the fire when you have erred on the side of sunshine.
Coherent enough for you, snowflake?
Way too intellectual, TD.
Tone it down for the youngsters or those trying to prove what a super fan they are.
I don't know about all that high-fallutin' intellectualizing you guys are doing, but what really bums me out is that we've completely wasted the careers of Tony Romo and Jason Witten, two truly great Cowboys players. Wouldn't you agree?
I'm not responsible for what you think you remember, but if you want to take the time to cite what you're talking about, we can definitely have that conversation. Until then, though, let's both give it a rest or at least tie the discussion back into the thread topic before we get too far afield.
I like it better when you send the hypocrisy rants to me in PM, btw.
And, yes, this response was more coherent than your first one.
Uh, yeah, I suppose that is nice for you to note.
But since it has zero to do with what we are truly discussing, I guess you will put that in your "negative post" column, since you are so about being the Fox News guy around here.
"Fair and balanced".
It is a raw deal some good Cowboys like Romo and Witten are getting, but that is irrelevant to the point at hand.
Your hypocrisy is here in public.
Since you continue to try to divert the thread and the topic at the moment, I will still indulge you just for conversational purposes, which seems to be your goal as well.Always the voice of reason.
So what do you think of Showers' performance so far, then?
Nice to see that you read them then.Yeah, but the PMs are so much more colorful.
Because they're obviously a problem for some? I wish we'd all stop pretending like that's not an issue in football, especially at the quarterback position.Let's keep issues of race out of the thread, please. For all the obvious reasons.
It appears to be a chip on your shoulder for sure.Because they're obviously a problem for some? I wish we'd all stop pretending like that's not an issue in football, especially at the quarterback position.

We're not pretending it's not an issue in football.
That doesn't mean it needs to be a topic of discussion in the threads when it's not relevant to the subject at hand.
Oh, it's relevant.
Not really going out on a limb there.I'm going to go out on a limb here and say
- Showers will not be in the NFL in 2 seasons
- Rico Gathers will not be with the Cowboys next year

I agree neither is the answer now, but what either will be in the future is unknowable. After the first week of Romo's career I bet most didn't think he showed much eithetNeither Showers or Prescott are the answer for the Cowboys as the primary backup this season or future starter after Romo who's career end is less than two years away......
