I watched the tapes on YoutTube. He looks like a very stocky, slow wide receiver. He looks like a bigger version of Noah Brown. I am not excited at all about this player. We will regret sending Amari packing. He is one of the craftiest route runners I have ever seen. He is like a professor of route running. CeeDee is an amateur. He also lacks any maturity. He has raw, God given skills but I do not see the intellect or the desire to be great. So, I really like this player. He looks much better on tape than his stats show. So I was wondering what fans thought about his play, and if there was a reason why his stats don't line up with the tape on him.
He was apparently buried on the depth chart and several fans were saying he wasn't getting enough opportunities.
But the fans seem to think he could have produced more if given the opportunity.
Interesting read if you care to take the time.

I don’t think he is slow, lol.He looks slow to you?
Amari Cooper fell out of favor here and wasn’t seeing many targets. So we’ve seen that before.
And he only got 865 yds on those targets.Cooper had 103 targets last year and he missed two games, so that means he was basically targeted just as much as Lamb and Schultz (120 each but in more games).
And he only got 865 yds on those targets.
I agree and it's weird because he's a vertical threat and deep ball player, but he's not very fastSo, I really like this player. He looks much better on tape than his stats show. Washington's been clocked at over 21 mph on the field which is pretty fast.I agree and it's weird because he's a vertical threat and deep ball player, but he's not very fast
Yea it is but mist deep threats would run sub 4.5 closer to mid 4 40yd timeWashington's been clocked at over 21 mph on the field which is pretty fast.
I've seen plenty of supposed 4.25-4.35 guys that weren't deep threats. Kevin Williams from the 90s team is a great example. Running a 40 in shorts and track shoes vs guys running more than 40 yards in football equipment changes things. Some guys just run better than others in the gear and some guys have build up speed rather than instant acceleration.Yea it is but mist deep threats would run sub 4.5 closer to mid 4 40yd time
He was a vertical threat on a team that had an aging QB who couldn’t take advantage of his skillset. Same team that also hits on literally every WR pick and the other guys in the room fit better with what Ben could do at that stage in his career.
Does anyone think Ray-Ray McCloud is better than Washington? No, but he got much more work because his game is screens and short passes; which is the only thing Ben could do consistently.
Purely a poor fit, if you watch his tape you can see clear separation and ability. He’s a good 3 with 2 potential.
Well said although I agree I would have to see this ability he had Ostate transfer to the pros I don't think it has yet. But could've been lack of chance and opportunityI've seen plenty of supposed 4.25-4.35 guys that weren't deep threats. Kevin Williams from the 90s team is a great example. He gets no separation and he could not get action with AB and JuJu out of the Steelers WR line up with Big Ben as QB.So, I really like this player. He looks much better on tape than his stats show. I think Washington is a good enough 3rd receiver, if the cowboys can improve the OL and get the run game going again.
the wr situation is complicated by gallups health though. Not knowing if he will miss games. Or need time to get back up to speed
looks better on "tape" than what his stats show might be because you're watching highlight videos on YouTube. Just sayingSo, I really like this player.
