Did we not have a JW that played in the secondary back in the 90's?

I didn't see the senior bowl but wasn't there reports he didn't do well? If so guys like Miller, Kirk, Sutton and Ridley will all go before him which would push him to round 2He's not worth the 19th pick and will get taken long before the 50th pick.
He's basically in no man's land for the Cowboys.
I like Sutton as well and reports are that he said he will run a 4.4. I think he ran in the 4.5 alreadyI like Washington but just not in the 1st. I know the route tree is limited, but reports were pretty good about him having a solid senior bowl week creating seperation and displaying good hands. I'm not sure what he'll run, but the dude obviously has game speed and he's a finisher.
I've been big on Sutton since the get go, as I think he might have the highest ceiling for WRs in the draft, but his timed speed will be what everyone's watching. Originally I was thinking he was a top 15 pick but after hearing about a concern in his speed he might be more of a bottom of the 1st early 2nd guy.

Some fun tidbits:

Highest speed reached at Tuesday's practices was by @CowboyFB WR James Washington (21.25 mph). By comparison, top speed reached by ballcarrier in NFL game in 2017, per Next Gen Stats, was Leonard Fournette's 22.05 mph. https://twitter.com/Gil_Brandt/status/956279764213366784 …
Lends some credence to my hunch that Washington isn't going to time well at the Combine. Fournette ran a 4.51 last year in Indy.
I'm not so sure it matters for a guy like Washington, teams have a ton of tape on him creating seperation and blowing by DB's for the last few years. I think 40 is a lot more important for the WR's where the speed is a question on tape or they come from a smaller program (Sutton, Gallup, etc...).
I'll also add that a 4.51 for a RB weighing 230+ is exceptional.
Like I was mentioning earlier, I think a lot of Washington's success was due to the passing attack OSU ran. Fournette ran a 4.51 at 240 lbs which is great for a big RB. I was simply making the contrast that when a 240 lbs RB has a higher top end speed than a 210 lbs wideout, it's not a good indicator.
I agree. Sutton running at the combine will be huge in where he is draftedIf Sutton does end up running a sub 4.5 I think it could be the difference in him going in the 1st and 2nd.
If he runs a 4.4ish, I think he'll fly off the board.
Another guy I can't wait to see at the combine is Eq. St. Brown.
Not that this team will take advantage of it, but there appears to be quite a few deep threats in this draft. It’s been a long time since we had one.
I’m interested in Washington’s combine speed
His play speed is only relative to whose chasing him/guarding him.Gonna guess high 4.4s, but again go back to the tape. His play speed is legit.
Do we have a deep ball QB - that’s the ?

I watched the tape bro. I need validation from his combine. Shelton Gibson was blowing by guys in college too. He ran a low 4.5 and faded in PhillyWatch the tape- he faced a lot of off coverage where DB's gave him a cushion respecting his speed and he still blew by everyone.

Then why did he run slow at the combine?Gibson's scouting reports read focus issues and inconsistent hands...his speed wasn't the problem.
