CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
If they felt so strongly about him , they should have shown it in the way they play. This is just empty lip service.

if they like him that much, they should have put it on the field.

affection for a coach is not going to win us a SB. screw what jerry wants players, it's what the FANS want. we don't pay all this money to make the NFL the richest sport and the cowboys the most valuable franchise, with player/millionaires everywhere, were we work like dogs for a lot less out in the real world, so you can have breaks in meetings and saturday coffee clubs family meetups.

Make a list of all the PLAYERS DEFENDING him and start cutting/trading. Not being hyperbolic. Needs to be done, the team is SOFT and LAZY. Look at that list NOTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL.
agreed. we only want players with FIRE in their GUTS to WIN.

The players defending him doesn’t make McCarthy soft or a cupcake. It also doesn’t make it so he can’t be fired.
Wait for it lad, a podcast by Micah the Mouth at which he states all criticism is misdirected, how it takes a lion to roar and free the inhibited spirits of "Mighty Quinn" ("I made that term up" he says) and MM. "Being a lion in the cosmic sense of things yall can see how an injured lion ... oh, look, a bird."

Any player that isn’t doing some soul searching after yesterday can go. There is no defending what I saw yesterday from the coach to the damn water boy
We could have used the "water boy" on defense. That's fo sho.

Just how many so called PLAYERS COACHES have won championships?
A few but not many

IMO I would characterize Dungy and Carroll as a players coach

And of course McCarthy in GB unless his approach was different then

But you're right most of them are hard core accountability stalwarts. No argument there. Human nature for most people is to take the path of least resistance and to get 53 unique human beings to do otherwise for the good of the team, most times you need a disciplinarian/authoritarian figure like a Jimmy or Belichick etc

If you keep McCarthy than fire Dak. You shouldn't keep both. And we know Quinn is gone and he was a major problem. But somebody else needs to be the scapegoat on offense. I prefer everyone loses their jobs but I highly doubt that happening. Jane Slater is brown nosing. Throwing out crap to see what sticks. To be honest Dak needs to go. He is, was and always will be the choker we saw the other night.

This organization is a joke! And it's going to be so laughable when everyone comes back except for maybe Quinn. Don't renew your tickets. Stop buying merchandise.
Make your Dak jersey into a doormat and post pics all over social media. The people need to take a stand.

That’s a whole lot of contradictory statements. How did the ownership fail Mike? And if it was the failure to adjust and stick to certain schemes, how was it ownership’s fault and not the coaches? And how is Dak panicking on his first read an indictment of MM and ownership and not the QB?

And Dak panics is large in part why this offense was dumbed down in the first place, which means the scheme is an issue with the QB, not the coach. Dak as part of the Texas “West Coast” was coached to break pocket after his second read, as mentioned by Chris Collinsworth. Dak mentioned he was told to quickly go through his read if it is not there. All indications point to Dak’s decision making process and it reflected once again in the playoffs. There were multiple times this game it looked like Dak was looking deep for CeeDee on the first read but it wasn’t there, so he essentially resorted back to slow s molasses Dak and panicked.

Dak has always had a tendency to fixate on a target when he has been given more responsibility. They made the excuse with Dez, that he forced the ball to him, then Cooper and now it’s Lamb who is being criticized as “soft”.

Fine, appease the players and not the fans. But at some point the fans are going to stop buying into what you're selling.

This might be the strongest reason to fire him and let the players know they are why Mike got fired. Because they didn't even want to be in the playoffs, and then laid down and died, Big Mike has to go.

To any Cowboys player who may happen to read this - it is precisely YOUR FAULT if Big Mike gets fired. If you loved him so much then you would have at least showed up in that game rather than flat out mentally quit the week before the biggest playoff year for the Cowboys since the 90s.

At some point the results have to match up to the words.

12-5, 12-5, and 12-5 since 2021 and one playoff win over a crap Tampa team that didn't even belong in the playoffs last season is all they have to show for it.
It's a new NFL record for playoff underachievement.

They played completely uninspired. Who's fault is that?

I love cliches like “uninspired”. What happened is the defense got owned by a Shanny disciple. And Dak as usual sucked and gave the opponent TDs and didn’t help the defense at all. And Jordan Love played lights out and didn’t panic.
