Jane Slater Update

If we are to believe Shotty then we should expect bigger type players to be drafted up front. At the skill areas he has said he wants just good fast, smart football players that love the game. High character. Gotta have some thugs on the dline and he realizes that. That's why Nolen could be the pick in a trade down scenario. It's a very deep wr class and RB class. I think we can find studs later. I think we have enough on the Oline but could use maybe one more stud at guard or tackle. I'm starting to love Donovan Jackson. He's clean, mean, and has position flex. Could be the best olineman in this draft. I love Booker to, as a pure guard. Plug and play day 1, nasty, and leads.

Tuten has had fumbling issues and a lot of times seems to either go for 15 yards or dance around and get stuffed for -2, but as a UVA guy who's watched way too much of Tuten (not just his highlights), I'd absolutely snap him up in round three. For me, the best case Tuten scenario would be something like...

Membou/Higgins/Tuten
McMilan/Savaiinaea/Tuten

Tuten is a really good receiver. He runs decent routes, gets open and catches the ball downfield, and turns screens and check downs into big plays. Speed isn't everything and I don't think he's a feature back, but if he can fix the fumbling problem I think he'll be a nasty weapon in the NFL.

Fumbles never concern me. Those are 100% fixable through coaching. Lack of elusiveness and vision are more concerning to me eg. Hampton.

Agree about Tuten.

Did he have a hurt leg last year?

Based on last years performance Guyton shouldn’t effect who you can’t draft all that much. If you love a LT early you take them and figure out the guyton situation later.
I agree but drafting an OT at 12 would be akin to admitting they made a mistake last year. Jerry and Son rarely ever admit drafting errors. They will tell you who they wished they had drafted, but these guys are still pumping Mazi Smith.
