Jarwin vs Ebron?

He wasn't consistently targeted because he was on the sidelines.
Yes. In the NFL all games are big. one loss can cost you a season.

I guess you don't know what a "big game" is. And I wont debate it.

If Jarwin was soo great, he would have played more. Although I fully admit that Garrett sucked.

I do like the potential of Jarwin, ONLY IN THE PASSING GAME. However, to say he is a better option than Ebron is ridiculous. Ebron had something like 800 yards and 13 TD's two years ago in Indy. We would be lucky to EVER get a season like that out of Jarwin.

LOL what? That wasn't a big game. How did he play in the playoffs that year?

3 catches for 15 yards against the Seahawks
2 catches for 17 yards against the Rams

Real game changer.
His lack of production had nothing to do with his play or skill. Its like we all sit here and complain about Jason Garrett all year but then forget about him when its time to talk about guys you may or may not have liked. This team was too loyal to Witten. We all know that.

Jarwin has some work to do. We should've known last year what we had in him but they screwed that up now we have to see it this year.

LOL. You didn't think that game was big? Why did you watch it then?
You listed 5 catches in 2 games proving my point he isn't targeted.

Im just wondering why you think the fact that a guy isn't targeted is some kind of compliment. LOL

Yeah, we don't need quitters on this team.

Hey, what do you think of the Cooper extension?
I'm mixed on it TBH with you. When he was on he flashed greatness, but too often disappeared especially on the road.

It would have been frustrating to have lost him only given what we invested in him regarding a high draft pick.

However, since we did ultimately end up resigning him I'm just glad that we at least essentially put in a kill switch to where we can cut him after 2 years with limited cap implications.

What were the stakes in that game? What are you even talking about? We could have benched everyone and still been fine.

It's hilarious how that game was the defining point for you, but he couldn't follow up that performance in the playoffs with anything meaningful. And frankly, he didn't do a ton last year and couldn't beat out the resurrected corpse of Witten.

I like Jarwins's potential to catch passes, but to say he is better than Ebron is laughable.

Cmon that is ridiculous. We would be lucky if Jarwin came anything close to Ebron. Amazing that people will convince themselves of.

What's ridiculous?

I said Ebron has the higher peak. And that they know what they have in Jarwin.

If we could get ebron of 2018 then yes. He had a amazing year. Last year he did the same as Jarwin. I would like to see what Jarwin can do as TE #1.

Let him? I cant argue that Garrett sucks. There is also the other big reason. He cant block.
We are about to find out. I feel good about him. It’s his 3rd year and really his first year of getting good reps. I can’t argue with ebron stats from 2018. He had a fantastic year.

Jarwin isn't being paid the same amount as Ebron. The cap hit for Jarwin the next 2 seasons will be less than Ebron by a decent amount. I won't be surprised if Dallas drafts a tight end this season.

If they REALLY prioritized blocking Witten would not have been on the roster for several years.
I think they wanted "all around" in the starting role - not just a blocker or a receiver

what did Ebron sign for? I thought both would have been a good combo and then TE could be off the draft board

I mean if both deals together were about the same as ONE Elite TEs, that might have been a consideration..

Didn't Ebron used to have severe drops issue, ? he improved but still had some issues unless im thinking abut another player..
