Well then you didn't watch the games or you just have a different TV to watch. Tom Brady was never Mediocre in Michigan, he was pretty good, but the problem was Drew Henson had the hype and also mostly lived up to hype when he played. Which really hurt Tom Brady's draft status when he went to NFL.

So let me ask you something. I am not familiar with Henson/Brady at Michigan.

Was this kind of like what Texas went through with Major Applewhite and Chris Simms.

The reigning Big 12 Offensive Player of the year gets supplanted by the guy with all the tools, the arm, the hype and the name?

Who ended up having the better career?

Neither does Quincy Carter. Marijuana was his drug of choice.

The hatred of Quincy Carter continues I presume....

No Quincy was a coke head!! You don't go to rehab for marijuana. He also compared playing quarterback to cocaine in one of his interviews.

Jean Jaques Taylor did the first interview with Quincy after he was released and Quincy said he was guilty of using drugs but it wasn't Cocaine, I believe they had someone on the Ticket that same year that said it was Marijuana as well.

Type this into Google.com "rehab and marijuana"....

Hint:You will get a gizzillion links on Marijuana Addiction Rehab Centers where one can enroll in for this drug.........

Quincy used both drugs, he smoked pot and was a coke fiend. Thats why he had to go to rehab before the playoffs. He was having serious cocaine withdrawl symptoms. Cocaine is known more for causing "erratic behavior and paranoia." Behavior Carter exhibited while playing for us. Marijuana causes overeating and feelings of euphoria. During an interview he compared playing quarterback to using cocaine. He said, "It's like a rollercoaster. It feels like your on cocaine." His words not mine.

sure they have rehab centers for weed, courts waste people's time and money on them all the time. how reasonable is it for a player who is not forced by anyone, to leave a team with a possible starting job going into the playoffs because he is smoking bud?

There is rehab for everything: eating too much, not eating enough, smoking, alcohol, marjiuana, cocaine, sex addiction(i.e. too much sex, but unfortunately not one for not enough sex), heroine, etc.

I will start off by saying I hope you are not speaking from personal experience :) .

But here is a quote from Rutgers University Health Website.

What are the short term effects of using marijuana?

sleepiness and increased hunger
altered sense of time
impaired or reduced short-term memory
reduced ability to perform tasks requiring concentration and coordination, such as driving, or studying for an exam
increased heart rate
potential cardiac dangers for those with pre-existing heart disease
bloodshot eyes
decreased social inhibitions that can increase exposure to risky situations
risk of paranoia, hallucinations, intense anxiety, panic attacks

The phrase "I am not a doctor by play one on the WWW" comes to mind here...

Dude, did you not see him using the simile on the NFL network. I'm not making that up, he compared playing football to a cocaine rush. He did not say playing football is like smoking a joint and eating a bunch of cheetos. Pot heads do not suffer serious withdrawls.

Well, they're both black and favor 17, but that's about it. We know Q can't play; the same cannot be said of Campbell. Stop the hatin'.

I wouldnt say Q cant play, he was an average NFL QB who , had it not been for his laspe with pot, would have been a great backup in this league
