Jason Garrett - Coach of the Year?

Given the fact this team was ranked darn near dead last and counted out by virtually ALL national, and even some local, media... does JG deserve to be in the conversation for Coach of the Year? Is he deserving of the award? If the team makes the playoffs? If they win a playoff game? Get to SB and/or win it?

Coach of the year for breaking 500.............LMAO..............is the bar really that low for Garrett?


His predecessor won 2 division titles and a playoff game in a 3 year span..................Garrett just broke 500 in year 4......................lets see how this season ends before we get the anointing oil out to quote Parcells.

Let's see how things end up. Two weeks ago Bruce Arians was the shoe-in winner. Now I'm not so sure.
All I know is that Garrett won't win it, unless he gets to the Super Bowl.

You know this season has gone much better than expected when you see a thread like this. Someone asking if Garrett will be coach of the year was probably the last topic I ever expected to see discussed. We currently have 2 topics on the board that I never thought we would ever discuss. We have a discussion centered around whether we would rather see the Cowboys play on the road during the playoffs or at home and another asking if Garrett will be coach of the year. I might have to take a picture of the discussion list just to have proof these topics actually came up.

If the Cowboys finished 12-4 making the playoffs Garrett would definitely be in the coach of the year mix when you consider a lot of preseason predictions had the Cowboys being the worst team in the league.

He's had a franchise QB his entire tenure. He's about 3 years late on being able to earn that.

If we were 11-2 right now, then maybe.
