Go ahead, say what you want, but I beleive Jason Garrett would be a great fit for a position in player scouting and evaluation. Both his father and brother spent a significant amount of time in scouting players. I'm not saying it's hereditary, but I'm sure they spent a lot of time around the dinner tables discussing the subject. I remember Jason discussing his interview with Dak before the draft. It was very interesting.

Media gigs typically don't last long for ex-players with the exception of a handful. Jason won't have a career in the media for long. I think he will either be in an NFL personnel department or coaching in college.

Jerry made JG a multimillionaire. Unless he got foolish and blew it all, he'd never have to work again if he didn't want to. Just think making millions for 8-8.

Nobody wants him as a coach.

He’s doing a better job as a broadcaster.

I’d consider that a win-win.

Seems ro be liking this commentating gig. I wonder if he's done with coaching?
The best he could do is a college gig as an OC. After he washed out in NY there was zero interest in him. Commenting is a better gig but I’m not sure he’s any better at it. I’ve never seen a guy with so little ability get so much opportunity. He really lucked out landing the backup QB job in Dallas. He has parlayed that and his daddy’s connections into an absurdly successful career.

It is interesting that in 2019 Jerry said that Garrett “would be hired in a minute if he were a free agent.” Yet 4 years later he hasn’t been hired as a HC at any level.

While I think Garrett was a below average HC, never forget who hired him AND kept him here for a decade despite his teams only making the playoffs 3 times. It’s not Garrett’s fault that our brilliant GM saw him as the next Tom Landry.

JG looks mighty comfortable talking in that luxury chair on TV.

I could see Garrett coaching college ball. Maybe back at his alma mater of Princeton Univ. He's basically an Ivy League level coach anyway.

He should have tried to get into a front office after Dallas instead of taking the first coaching job he could. I think he would do well as an executive
That was the feedback coming out of Baltimore after he interviewed there before being elevated by Jerry to HC. Their impression was he was well suited for executive positions.

He better figure something out because I highly doubt the commenting gig lasts much longer. Don’t know if I’ve seen a single person that enjoys listening to his robotic/boring voice…although I’m sure he’s probably set for the rest of his life thanks to Jerry paying him for way too long.

I’ve always thought Garrett seems like he’d be a good coach for a mediocre college team. Might be easier to get college kids to buy into his BS and a place without expectations would do him well.
