I've been a critic of Jason Garrett for a long time. His clock mismanagement, the weekly penalties that are like clockwork, the inexplicable habit of turning away from what works to the detriment of the team's success and the lack of playoff success...these things have pushed me to believe he needs to go.

This past game was the last straw. Zeke Elliot is the best player on offense and yet he only gets 23 touches. They come out looking completely unprepared on both sides of the ball. Multiple times in short yardage Zeke wasn't even on the field.

And the last series where the game was lost is solely on Jason Garrett. There is no defending it. A competent HC either wins the game there or leaves the Packers with so little time overtime is all but assured.

Jason Garrett has done all he can as the HC of this team. It will always end the same way with him. How many failed seasons does this guy get before he's held accountable? How many coordinators will they go through? How many QBs?

They need fresh blood on the sidelines. I know it won't happen but I feel it must for this team to get over the hump and win another Lombardi. Just MHO.

He's got video of what really happens on the Partybus, he has a job for life....All kidding aside, the thing that bug me the most is that he never owns up to his mistakes. Always tries to spin 'em. Read the article in the Fort Worth Telegram where he defends the spike and ALL of the third and short passes. He will never learn as long as he keeps defending himself and doesn't own up to his mistakes.

I didn't realize Jason Garrett was the offensive coordinator? When did he relieve Linehan of his play calling duties?
That's weird.
Head coach should overrule his coordinators when he sees fit too, I do it all the time. Thats why Garrett was forced to give up play calling and be more of a game manager in the first place. Linehan and Marinelli are older proven coaches, Maybe Garrett is a little intimidated and won't overrule because of it.

I've never understood why they take him out so much.

His clock mismanagement at the end of the half seemingly every week is painful. But he is here for a while, like it or not. With that said they can not miss on defensive players as this team can win, but it needs to be loaded, as we won't be winning due to shrewd coaching.

Oh....So any good offensive plays or calls or formations give credit to Linehan and any bad ones we have to crucify Garrett because he should have overruled Linehan...
So in the moment of a game with such little time to get the play in JG needs to intercept the play call and formation, then change the call and get the right personnel on the field....Thank god there isn't a play clock or anything,

Yea yea he has no say in the game plan at all. You're right. The headset is just for show.

So he isn't responsible for the offense or defense and still can't manage the game effectively so...what's he doing on the sideline?

The problem isn't Garrett - It's the lack of talent on the defensive side of the ball, and has been for the past 9 years since we've focused on nothing but surrounding Tony Romo with talent so he can heave the ball downfield.

Wait, I thought that "Garrett built this team"? No?
So it was Jerry? So Jerry gets the credit for Dak and Zeke?

This flip flopping of Garrett homies is so typical

Haha...excuses! It ain't hard to say "run it"...or maybe it is?

The only beef us fans can have with Garret is TERRIBLE clock management. Not just the GB game but over the course of his whole HC career. I like Garret but how has he not learned anything yet in clock management!! (I'm not complaining about the spike that was the proper play).

Zeke being off the field on 3rd down situations ha to be part of the game plan reviewed by the HC

If he didn't know that was going to happen he really needs to go
Oh so this gameplan that the coach reviews in advance needs to be followed strictly....that way when the defenses come out with different looks the fan base can criticize the coach for not adapting to the defenses....Awesome.

BTW...we scored on 6 of 9 possession. 1 we didn't score on was an interception. Another was the BS penalty drive (Butler)....
Maybe the defense let us down a little? maybe we didn't have the defensive talent to stop Rodgers? Maybe he shouldn't have converted a 3rd and 20 with 3 seconds left? Nah.....Its JG fault.

I'm not a fan of changing the culture right now. I agree with @dewby. Improve the defensive side of the ball so that Garrett no longer has to call a perfect game every week. I don't agree with every coaching decision, but we shouldn't even end up in some of the situations we face. We need to stop the other team from scoring. Even the bend but don't break narrative is getting tired. The offense is in place, let's fix the other side of the ball. I believe our current coaches will shine with better personnel.
