As far as fit. A fumble prone QB with poor pocket awareness and bad offensive line is not a good recipe for the kind plays Garrett likes to call as a playcaller

I have never considered Garrett the kind of coach that makes it easy on QBs.

I am too lazy to look up who they designated as the QB coach.

If that is not right, this kid will struggle.

Thats exactly right imo. He wasnt an awful coach here. He also wasnt a great coach here. He is LIMITED and we saw his ceiling.

For a team wanting its offense to just be as good as ours, Garrett makes sense. He can put together a good enough offense to win with a strong defense, which he rarely had here. Better defense in 2014 and 2016 and maybe we're talking two-time Super Bowl winner.

He didn't have it, though, and his offense simply wasn't good enough to overcome an average to mediocre defense. The offense couldn't do enough to outgun a team like Green Bay. Hopefully, we have that now with McCarthy, but also put out a more respectable defense as well.

When Garrett was calling plays he always had a top 10 offense look it up.

He got playcalling stripped from him forcibly, look it up.
