Garrett says on @1053thefan that Romo will have more tests today, but Cowboys "anticipate he'll be ready to go."

Jason Garrett said Romo will undergo some more "extensive tests" today. The team expect Romo to be ready on Sunday.

Jason Garrett tells @1053thefan blitz pickup a collective thing, not just an OL issue; points out skill positions have to adjust too.
Jason Garrett tells @1053thefan you always try stuff to change the behavior of a player's ball security issues.
Jason Garrett tells @1053thefan it's not so much Murray's ball security that's causing fumbles as much as it is him getting stood up.
Linehan had done a great job calling plays up to this point of the season.
it was more the execution of those pass plays in overtime that were the problem, not really the play-calls.
the #Cowboys didn't tackle consistently well, and it involved the team's best tacklers to boot.
they will get Justin Durant's tests finalized today, but it doesn't look good for him.

This is all great news and I posted the Werder report this morning as well. I really hope everything is good but didn't we hear the same reports last year as well? That is what makes me nervous.

I've already ranted about Murray and he needs to go down rather than fight for a non-difference making one more yard.

Linehan has down a great job until last night. The execution was horrible but the play calls were the issue. Murray gets 7 yards on 1st down and then we pass pass pass?????????? Horrible visions of last year flashed before my eyes.

The tackling (or non-tackling) was so unacceptable I don't see how players can to through the motions like that.

This concerns me. No one is going to be held accountable.

No, Jason, the issue was not simply the execution, but the play calls. Blitzes all night, and you throw just one screen? DeMarco's most effective game of the year (over 7 YPC and 20 per rec), and he gets his fewest number of touches all year. That is bad playcalling pure and simple.

In fairness, that has been the exception rather than the rule this year. and, in truth, the Cowboys were going to have to pass at some point on that drive. Every year, it is the same deal with Haslett yet the coaching staff looks absolutely befuddled by his blitzes.

highly, highly, highly concerning, of everything that went bad this is most concerning and this is not the answer I was hoping for...that being said, of course Garrett is not going to through Linehan under the bus, I seriously hope there is great consideration into this team not running the ball enough last night, makes me sick seeing the sins of years past come back to haunt us. Please, please, please run the ball.

True

"it was more the execution of those pass plays in overtime that were the problem, not really the play-calls."

Nice attempt by the head coach and some may find it noble, but it's simply not true.

The two best drives of the entire night (and one that play-calling again short-circuited!) came with Romo out of the game and the offensive focus squarely on Murray and the run game.

Not if they continued to average that same 7 yards that they were all night.

That's the only "truth" there.

There was absolutely, positively no valid reason why they had to pass the ball there.

None.

And given the shaky at best shape of their QB, it makes it even more inexcusable.

Yes his 8 yard run on first down and then not running again really bugged me. It reminded me immediately of last year.

That said one of those passes was executed to Witten and he dropped it. It wasn't the easiest of catches but it's one he can, and should, make. It would have been a first down.

But none the less why they weren't running the ball on 2nd and 2 is just baffling to me.

Lots of drops last night. Contested catches but ones a playoff team has to make.

The irony is last year people here bemoaning Murray for making "business decisions" last year by stepping out a step early than taking on a tackler and now this year this guy is not making "business decisions" and getting stripped.

Demarco nearly took a screen to the house on a blitz. Never seen again. So weird.

Accountability is one of my biggest gripes with Garrett. Generally speaking, I like his positive attitude. But some people are betterer motivated by fire and brimstone and a kick in the ***
