Jason Garrett outlives everyone

I think the only logical explanation for Garrett still having a job is the Dallas higher ups did not want a new coach have to handle all this changing of the guard stuff with all these longtime Cowboys. Garrett gets to fail one more year trying to develop new guys and a new coach comes in and takes over a young squad ready to be molded.

1 playoff win in 8 years... you have got to be kidding me...

Yeah....IMO, his teams haven't been good enough to win a ring. So what is the bar? As bad as 1 playoff win in 8 years sounds.....it can get worse. My stance isn't that he shouldn't be replaced after this season. My stance is that I have no faith in this organization to hire the right guy. Hopefully they do or hopefully Garrett proves he is. I'm not in the mood to go down the Wade Phillips, Dave Campo ride again.

What worries me about the Cowboys goes back to 2010 when the Cowboys basically quit on Wade. I thought I saw a little of that last season starting week 10 against Atlanta. Those three games in a row, at Atlanta, and at home against Philly and san Diego looked like the players were just going through the motions with little effort. Jason did manage to rally the team after that, but only against hapless opponent in NY, Wash, and Oakland, and barely beat Oakland. The only decent team that remained, and the only one we needed to beat, (Seattle) stomped us. I'm hoping he hasn't lost this team because I do not want to see another 2010.

Wade Phillips sank himself. He had no business being a NFL head coach.
Yea can't blame Garrett for that. Garrett is to blame for Wade being fired every place he's been a head coach at lol? We know the deal with Wade. Great coordinator.....a player friendly coach who's good for a year or 2 run before his team collapses.

IMO, that Atlanta game was just incompetence. The Bronco's game too. IMO, Garrett could've been fired after those two games and it would've been justified. What kills a coach in this league is being overconfident and arrogance. Its fine when you win. But when you lose? Its killer. He had far too much confidence in Chaz Green and Byron Bell in that Atlanta game and I have no idea why.

Garrett is ranked 108th in playoff records among NFL coaches out of 122...

2016 COTY bought him some time.

Cowboys are 37-15 the last four seasons with a healthy starting QB, 1-11 without. (12-4, 4-12, 13-3, 9-7) I get the frustration with Garrett, but that record isn't going to get a coach fired. When the QB was healthy and the running back wasn't suspended the Cowboys won most of the time, despite the lack of postseason success.

If you think that isn't part of the Joneses thinking you're kidding yourself. Garrett's seat is probably not as hot as we'd like to believe.

Yet another “I hate the Cowboys” thread from you. Why do you even watch the games? Just to come here and ***** about the negatives? Why does that give you so much pleasure? I really want to know because I don’t understand.

he lost me after the atlanta game.
I'll be damned if he didn't bring me back after that speech today.
from the heart.
it was perfect.
I'll be damned if he didn't win me back to his side.
now....just win.

Probably why he insisted the starters play that last game against Philly.

I remember you guys complaining about this back before his last extension. Good times.

After watching the dude on All or Nothing, and then what he said today at the presser, I wish the dude could coach football. He has everything else you could want, but he's just not a good coach unfortunately.
Tuesday through Saturday, Excellent Head Coach, except on the Thursdays we play.

Just that list alone tells you exactly who the problem is. We have turned over everybody else and in some cases multiple times. The only constant is Garrett. Case closed.

If Jerrah were to give the scarlet clap another extension... I would have to stop watching.
