And only you and BBGun would fail to see any similarity whatsoever.

Attribute wise he is quite similar. I can't wait to see him in action eventhough he went to a lesser school (not in the sense you all think). :)

I guess my problem with the comparison is that Mario Williams hasn't proven himself on the field on the NFL level, just like Hatcher hasn't. There's an obvious difference in draft selection, true. But really, no one knows how either of these cats are going to develop once the pads come on.

If there's going to be a comparison, then why not compare him to someone who's done it, such as Lett, as Jerry mentioned.

Hey, scouts were saying he's a "poor man's Richard Seymour."

I can see the connection per say on a physical skill basis. I think Hatcher is more of a power rusher that can play inside whereas Williams is an edge rusher.

Whether Hatcher will live up to the hype is another thing.

I for one hope he is not the next Leon Lett...
For me Lett had a bright future that never developed as well as it should have.

Gonna disagree with you Eddie. I think fans of any team can make connections like this. It isn't reserved for Cowboys fans.

Tyson Thompson = Poor Man's Reggie Bush

They're both small, speedy RB's... what's the difference really?

I agree with that but that is where the probkem for me lies.
I thought Leon at this time would be talked about with the all time greats, I thought he had that kind of talent

Thompson isn't small. He's 6'1" and 225 pounds. He'll be BETTER THAN REGGIE BUSH.

Okay, just kidding.

OR AM I???

Tyson Thompson is not small. 6-1 215 lbs is not small at all. Bush is 5-11, 200 lbs.

Tyson Thompson is 6 ft, Reggie Bush is more of 5' 9". Tyson is more striaght line speed only, Reggie has moves that very few RBs have. Really, thats a silly to even to compare them both or try to discount Hatcher/Williams comparison with that comaprison.

I probably would have said Julius Jones/Reggie Bush comparison if anything, due to size/speed and somewhat of the moves, although Julius doesn't have Bush kind of moves.

I would not trade Hatcher for Edwards.........

Hatcher has a lot of upside......Edwards has already meet his potential.....;-)

It's supposed to be a ridiculous comparison. Just like the Hatcher/Williams comparison is just insane. You're talking about the #1 overall pick and a late 3rd rounder. Just because they have comparable size and speed doesn't mean they are anywhere near the same level of player. There's more to playing in the NFL than measurables.
