I’m not a troll...I’ve been on here for yrs, just don’t post much! I didn’t post this for shock value either...I base this thought on what I see...he will not provide any explosive plays down the seam and I doubt he’ll provide much in the way of blocking. The block in the back for example from last night, yes it was an iffy call at best but that doesn’t exclude the fact that he could not cross the face of the defender to provide a better block. I am an avid fan of the Cowboys no doubt about it and would enjoy to be proved wrong on this!

That call was made because of where the ball was run after Witten started blocking. When the defender changes direction to the side, there's not a lot the blocker can do to get in the way.

Have you listened to any TC news? Watched any PS games? We have two hurt guys and one other guy who’s been on 11-12 teams and not even eligible to be on a practice squad. Witten is still the only TE in this team that could block better than you or me, and he’s the only healthy one we have also. Do you know how many teams are looking for decent TE’s right now? Probably 24-25 of them. If JW is the worst thing wrong with this team right now, count your blessings and accept it.

Yes, there is a reason the Cowboys didn't use Witten the same as Gronk because their coaches had two different philosophies on how to use them. Your point about Witten's catch radius is ridiculous. I don't buy it for a second, but thanks for the laugh.

You don't recall it because Romo was so accurate, Witten's feet never had to leave the ground to go after a ball. Check the tape if you don't believe it.
