He handled it well. They're even calling him J Jeezy. I liked it. Swagalicious. He didn't back down. He didn't tell the reporters anything he didn't want them to know. He basically said it is what it is and if anybody else want some ... come get it.

I have no idea what I just read here but it sounds cool so right on. lol

Translation for the 40+ Generation

Jason was very articulate and eloquently stated his words. They're even calling him the man, I loved it. It was awesome. He didn't stray away from questions, he answered them head on. Whenever a reporter asked him a question, Garret looked them in the eye, man to man, person to person, and told them the situation has already occurred, it's been dealt with, and it will NOT be happening again.

I'm 44 and didn't require translation. But thanks. ;)

Garrett is a lot more successful in his press conferences than he is coaching football games. I remember all the threads on here in Garrett's first year with people all giddy about how he "commanded" press conferences and "put the media in their place."

Jason Garrett: winning press conferences and losing football games since 2010.

I was one of them.

"Swagalicious"....let me take a swing at this one. Statements made with confidence and conviction. Sprinkle in a tablespoon of annoyed and a teaspoon believe.

I'm 60 and had no problem. Maybe because I have two boys, and have coached many boys 10-15 years of age over the past 30 years.

But I still find it curious why we think it is cool to talk like,.. and quote those that did not stick around long enough, or do well enough in school to learn to speak the English language.

I love how the youth communicates these days.

It's making it easy for my kids to kick their butts in every walk of life. Population is up; competition is down. There are some really stupid, useless kids being raised.

I'm noticing that Jason stands taller (maybe it's just from the female perspective) these days. I noticed during the Rams game he looked more in control. His demeaner on the sidelines looks different. When we had the ball in the closing minutes of the game and Tony came over to the sideline .... the conference was between Linehan, Tony and Jason. Jason never said a word. He listened ... stepped back ... listened some more .... but kept the posture of "I'm running this and will step in if I have to". That's the impression I get.

The impression I got is utterly useless and nobody cared about him as he looked off to the ref. You know what was also great about it. It was a pass play-call on a 3rd and short and Dallas went spread. To the Garrett defenders, it was always about Romo changing the play from pass to run.

I like your post becuase you have your own point of view without being disparaging (somewhat).

I agree that there are many inept kids being raised, but it would be very short-sighted to be glad about it.

It will impact your children in a negative way eventually in their future.

It is very disturbing to me.

There was certainly a tinge of sarcasm in my post. I agree with you, it's concerning.

I also think it's intentional. The more dependency, the better, for a big-government nation, but that's for another place.

So many kids are mind-numbingly entranced by their phones and the social media. It's creepy.

True. But they see their parents doing too, .. so they learn from them.

I am painfully old-fashioned, .. so I always have to weigh that against, "is all change really for the better?"

This social media thing is getting completely out of hand, .. it's bizarre.

A girl gets raped, and somebody films it on their phone and posts it on line somewhere instead of helping her and stopping the rape.

How can these children NOT know that that is wrong?

You want the real answer? The non-PC answer? Here it is.

Families with college-educated parents (both) are having very few kids. Uneducated folks are having multiple kids with multiple partners like stinking rabbits.

There is no family unit because your two brothers and your sister have three different dads than you do.

And that's only a slight exaggeration. Most kids born today don't come home from the hospital with a mom and dad at the house. That's a horrible way to begin your life, especially when there's a 90 percent chance you'll barely know dad.

I hear ya.

I have discovered that the best and most important thing a man can do for his children is, .... love their mother.

Surely, before cellphones, no woman ever went raped without a bystander intervening!
