Javonte Williams Appreciation Thread

He appears to be our official starter, he started today and did very well.

Week 2: 97 yards, 5.4 yards a carry, 1 TD and 6 yards receiving. Over 100 total yards for the day!

Yes, Dak, Aubrey, Pickens, Clark all were fantastic. So was Williams, he brings balance to this offense which keeps the defense honest and he does all the dirty work for this team!

I called Javonte a RB2 yesterday, and he's working towards proving that theory wrong. JW played solid complete game, and he looks to be back, so hope keeps it going.

I think it is fair to say he has done much better than what many fans thought he would do.

It is early but so far so good.

I just do not like that there are times it seems like they revert back to abandoning the run at times and get a little too pass happy.

But the biggest bonus for him so far is that he and sanders have helped in the redzone.

Dallas needs to get Blue in there on some screens and short passing plays out in space. Let him create something for this offense with his speed.

A lot of us were wrong on him. Cowboys front office clearly saw how good he looked. I’ve been watching him in Denver and yes he was as bad over these last few years as we thought. Hes fully recovered now it seems.

I wouldn't say fully. Dont think he ever will be. However he has regained enough athleticism to be a solid back. He reminds me of how Damien Harris was in his best years in NE (900 yard, 15 TD season). Without that injury, he is probably a Pro Bowl level player. Probably wont ever hit that, but he can have a solid run

I thought he was washed but he runs hard as hell and fights for extra yards. He’s a good asset on offense but still believe he would be better as a spell back

He has looked good so far. I really wasn't expecting much. So far, so good. Still disappointing the lack of resources they have put into this running back room. Espeically with good mid round backs the last two drafts.

What's funny is I was messing with my friend telling him to take Javonte in the 2nd on our fantasy league since we are both Cowboy fans and hoping he do it so better peeps fell. He ended up getting him in 5th and started him this week. Maybe he was worth it as a second!

I have Jeanty as well. Currently leading by two points and its Jeanty vs the Texans defense tonight. Pray for no early game injury and big game by him.
