Javonte Williams fully healthy

Williams is coming off a major injury. Zeke was done. Polar opposite situations.
Are you expecting Williams this season to be where he was at or close to his rookie season?

Remember the “Moose” calls back in the early 90’s everytime Daryl Johnston carried the ball or caught a pass? His biggest value however was lead blocking for #22. I can’t wait for the “Luepke” calls when he does the same for Javonte or the Blue rookie.
Luepke isn’t that type of blocker and never has been. Not in college and not with the Cowboys.

His best skill is catching it in the flat.

TIL it takes 3 years to get back from an Acl injury, must have been a ****** doctor who operated on Williams.

and why is that?People want Nick Chubb around here. Adrian Pederson....... This isnt Gayle Sayers Drs doing the work.
he has been three years removed from the injury. should already be at 100% for a while now but doesnt look like it when playing

Part of the rehab is mental. How focused you are with your rehab. Some don’t realize that they can do more and think they’re doing all they can do. Eventually they learn that’s not the case. Many other reasons as well.
He'd be the first. Hope he's right.

No idea, but it's definitely possible. Some recover from this surgery like nothing happened(Macgahee) and some are never the same. Do you have any idea which category he falls into?

However, here's what I do know. When healthy, Williams is a good starting quality RB. He's actually the only RB on the roster that we know that about.

Sorry, I'm just not as excited about any of the older/veteran RBs coming off of injuries and from other teams as I am with our young, talented and injury-free RBs.
I am excited about the young RB's also. I was just commenting about the article saying he feels 100%.
But I am also excited they actually brought in a few vet players for some leadership as well.

I will be very interested in waiting the entire RB group and how they emerge and who will be on the team.

My fear is that the Cowboys coaching staff could go with something like that and ride it to the end of the earth like they did with Zeke last season. Even if Williams is underperforming they could possibly refuse to admit it and allow it to ride out without knowing what else they have. ( IE not getting Blue , Mafah, Sanders) more looks.

Doubtful. Zeke was an entirely different matter. You simply can't compare, as Zeke was "Jerry's boy". Jerry covets his players, so when you have a player that Jerry considers "his player", he makes sure that player plays. Williams does not fit into this category at all. He is quite simply the most likely to take over the starting position. That's IF he's regained his burst, that is what it comes down to w/ him. He was very quick to and through the LOS.

Dont think he will ever be looking like Pre Injury again.
Seems like the story of our life here in dallas. I live in tampa bay and Bucs have like 1 devasting injury every couple years (at least to higher profile players)

Here in Dallas we draft and buy them.

Maybe he won't, but we could use all the help we can get.

his first year after surgery he was on one of the worst offenses in football. Probably had a little to do with how he "looked." You watch a lot of Broncos game? Last year he was basically in a time share. All of the great scouts we have on here watch a lot of game film.... so maybe they are all right in their assessment of him and he is washed. Only time will tell.

I don't think bringing back zeke was as earth shattering as what some people make it out to be. It was just another body. But Zeke PTSD is still pretty strong.

Williams had not regained his burst last season. Has that changed? No idea, but whether it has or not will define his season.

completely agree. I just dont want to listen to people that are on the keyboard trying to say what he can or cant do. Im sure Dallas coaches and drs gave him a nice look over.

Curious, do you think they line up a guy that has an acl tear and he does a few 40s for them? Because the stopwatch doesnt lie.
