I think this will be our new RB. I really really like Todd Gurley, followed by Ameer Abdullah, and as of today watching Ajayi, I was very impressed he has next great Cowboy RB feel to him, of course in my opinion.

Melvin Gordon, is a pretty good RB too, I just like the others a little bit better.

who would you guys and gals like to see us get, I believe the consensus would be Gurley, first but if he is off the board then who?

This is my guy personally. Don't get me wrong.. I'd love to have Gurley but I have a feeling that he'll be long gone before we get around to picking in the 1st round. Gordon is good but I'm not sure he's worth a 1st round pick given our other needs. I'll take Ajayi behind our OL all day in the 2nd if he lasts that long.

There are a lot of backs on the board. I don't think the run is going to start all that soon, but we'll have options we like in each of the top four rounds.

I'd like to see us move back in the first and then up again into the early third to make sure we get our guy. Hoping that's Ajayi.

Here is what I wrote about Ajayi in another thread:

I like Gordon and I love Gurley but if I had to bet right now on who the Cowboys will draft, I'd say Jay Ajayi.

1. Dallas loves Boise State players.

2. I think Dallas wants someone who can wear defenses down... (that is Ajayi)

3. ...but they still want some wiggle and not just a big bruiser. (that also is Ajayi)

4. DeMarcus Lawrence can vouch for his character and he is the type of person Dallas prefers.

5. He is from the Dallas area.

6. He probably can be had at our second round pick, which I think Dallas would prefer.

Just a hunch right now.

I wouldn't mind the trade back and the move up to the early third at all. There will be a lot of guys from the late first to the early third that I like a lot and that could help the cowboys.

David Johnson....wouldn't mind Ajayi or about 6 other of the RB prospects either

Gordon or Gurley would be great, if they fall that far, but my pet cat is Gordon. I wanted to like Ajayi, being the hometown guy, but watching him reminds me alot of Randle. He is more or less a jack at RB - average to good at everything, but not particularly special at anything and I think that will get exposed with the higher level of competition in the NFL. I'm not a scout; that is simply my humble opinion based on the little I was able to find on youtube.

Big AJ fan. I rate him just a notch below Gurley and Gordon and if we drafted him, I think he is a 1,300 yard back next year

I think AJ would be a great trade down option. Dont think he last to our 2nd. I think we could drop to 40 or so and get him

I seriously doubt he will be there at 60. A lot of teams need RB's this year and I think there will be a run early to mid 2.

noticed him back in January. Like him, Tevin Coleman, or Mike Davis. I think Gordon and Gurley are gone by 27.

Ajayi is the only power back I have ever seen that looks for every single opportunity to bounce it to the outside and try to outrun people.. I'll pass for sure

You may be right. I have even heard some noise about him going in the first round. We shall see.

Yeldon > Ajayi imo. He's good, no doubt, but he bounces it outside too much for my liking. That doesn't work often in the NFL (see Reggie Bush).
