you cant just look at 40 times,Murray ran 4.4 but cant out run anybody in the league.some guys play faster in pads and Ajayi and Gordon are guys who play fast on the field.

I agree, and agree with Gordon. Not Ajayi.

Jay Ajayi is my pet cat in this year's draft. My favorite running back and I would take him at 27 in the first round if Gurly is off the board. He fits the Cowboy's identity of what they want in a running back and can get the "dirty yards." Most complete back in this class. No way he lasts til 60 & he could go late first/ earl second like Doug Martin RB from Boise St. went in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Any problems with trading up to snag an additional 2nd this year by shopping Mo and a pick or 2?

Could end up with 1-2-2-4 but at a price . Enough to address DE, DT or CB and get Ajayi or Tevin on preference.

Mo is in the final year of his contract. He hasn't lived up to his high 1st draft pick. So what would a team give for that? If we offered our 2nd and Mo, maybe we could move up two or three spots. That's about all he's worth man.

Here is what I wrote about Ajayi in another thread:

I like Gordon and I love Gurley but if I had to bet right now on who the Cowboys will draft, I'd say Jay Ajayi.

1. Dallas loves Boise State players.

2. I think Dallas wants someone who can wear defenses down... (that is Ajayi)

3. ...but they still want some wiggle and not just a big bruiser. (that also is Ajayi)

4. DeMarcus Lawrence can vouch for his character and he is the type of person Dallas prefers.

5. He is from the Dallas area.

6. He probably can be had at our second round pick, which I think Dallas would prefer.

Just a hunch right now.

Problem is the 60th pick. He will be gone before then. Tevin Coleman I think will be there or we can go into the third for other options.

Not to mention coming off patellar surgeries on both knees for a guy who didn't have quick change of direction skills to begin with.

You very well may be right on Ajayi. He is steadily rising on draft boards.

I like his acceleration and definitely has impressive start/stop ability/agility, especially at his size.

But looks pretty leggy for RB. I would have guessed his height as taller. Not seeing great inside running skills. Doesn't look like a guy with great feel for openings. He'll run where he's told but won't anticipate openings like Duke Johnson. Also, apparently, a fumbler. Of the game film available on draft breakdown, against the one good defense he played (Mississippi) he looked more like a RD3 to RD4 guy.

Much rather hop up for Gordon or Gurley for a 3rd than hop down for Ajayi and pick up a 3rd or 4th. Prefer Coleman and Duke Johnson significantly.

I'm not sure on this guy. Pass pro seems to be a weakness, as does ball protection. Those two things alone seem to not make him a fit. Add to that his pedestrian 5.3 YPC average against generally second-rate competition and the fact that he's logged quite a few miles (800 touches) over the past two years. Frankly, I'm struggling to understand all the love he's getting.
