Jay Ratliff just spoke and hinted he's got issues with the strength and conditioning staff. "Everybody involved knows the answer."
Ratliff said its not his hamstring and there's a reason why he didn't come to offseason rehab.

Rowan Kavner ‏@KavnerDC 5m
Jay Ratliff spoke very briefly. Said its not his hamstring and everyone knew what the issue was way beforehand

Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon 5m
Why didn't Jay Ratliff rehab at Valley Ranch this offseason? "Good question. ... Everyone involved knows what's going on."
Jay Ratliff said everyone knew his injury issue "way beforehand," since last year. "It for sure is not a hamstring tweak."

Tom Orsborn ‏@tom_orsborn 4m
Ratliff says it was more than hamstring that kept him out, makes cryptic comment when asked why he didn't workout w/tm.after hernia surgery.
Ratliff on PUP and groin factor in decision: "Everyone knew what was going on beforehand."

It would seem that the crack (if there was one before) has seemed to widen between Jay and the team.

Gee everyone knew the answer? I just read all the tweets and dont know the answer still guessing. ***? Why not just friggin say whats wrong with him. All I now know is that its not his hamstring supposedly.

I wish I was one of those "everyone" that knew the answer. Still in the dark here anyway.

What does that mean? (Edit: I mean Ratliff's comment.)

It's not his hamstring, it's his groin. Which he had surgery on way back but he's probably pissed they made him run those sprints knowing it still wasn't feeling right.

Judging by the way our guys go from 1-2 week injuries to 6 weeks on a regular basis, I don't disagree with the idea that they are clueless about handling some of these injuries.

I used to love this guy. He was such a force for a while there, completely destroying and blowing by people. Things have just went so far downhill since those times. I have a hard time supporting anyone who goes out and gets a DWI/DUI after what occurred with Brent.

He won't be on this team next year.

Pure speculation.

You can put be down in the Done with Jay Ratliff column, it is not just about this latest injury news. It just appears from the outside looking in (granted) that he has had a serious attitude problem for the last several years. Not saying the team did or did not do things that pissed him off. But he is suppose to be a professional and he is getting paid to play and the DWI is on him and no one else.

Can't remember the exact comments, but have heard some of the players say, you just never know what Jay Ratliff you are going to deal with on any given day, sometimes a good guy some times a A**! Seems like he has some emotional issues.

It's a shame, because I thought highly of him for many years, it just seems (again outside looking in) that once he got paid his whole attitude changed, not saying that management did not have something to do with it.

But Jay, you are playing for the money and your teammates, get your head right or go see someone who can help you!

time to cut ties with him.... re-sign Hatcher, sign a vet and use a premium pick on a DT this offseason and hope Bass,Hayden and Cohen can all be rotational players

What's somewhat funny is that Hatcher said Crawford would be the reason he signs elsewhere when his contract is up.

Turns out Ratliff might be the reason he stays put.

Jerry Jones on Jay Ratliff: "I think he could play tomorrow. Not health-wise, just knowing what he needs to do [in the scheme]."
Jerry Jones: Jay Ratliff didn't rehab at Valley Ranch because of a "combination of schedule, a combination of preference."
Jerry Jones said he's confident Jay Ratliff will play this year.

Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon 11m
Jerry Jones said his hope is that Jay Ratliff will be an All-Pro this season. Also said it's too early to call contract a mistake.

Calvin Watkins ‏@calvinwatkins 28m
Stephen jones said its more about Ratliff's groin than hamstring. Jerry jones said its a setback.

Oh how this situation would have been different if Jerry hadn't just handed Jay a new contract.
