Jaylon - 10 tackles, LVE - 7 tackles, and Lee - 5 tackles

What recent NFL have you been watching?

Lawrence got flagged for being pushed into Eli below the knee.

They protect the NFL Darlings at every turn.

He blasted Eli enough to have happy feet.......like his brother, the self sacker.

A QB in the pocket is WAY different that one running in the middle of the field. You dont get chances like that very often. Should have driven his full weight onto Eli and pummeled him into the turf. There is no flag the refs could legitimately have thrown.

I imagine it won't be many more games before LVE takes Wilson's starting spot. He likely would have been the starter if he hadn't missed most of camp. He was who I'd hoped for in the 1st rnd since the combine. Saw him at the draft in person...dude is huge

Thumps are nice, but I'm happy with a tackler who will bring guys down abruptly instead of missing or going for a ride.

Yep. LVE doesn't have that hitter mentality, but when you're 6'4" 260, you don't need to be a hitter. Just wrap up and let physics do the work for you.

Jaylon though - Jaylon's a freaking hitter.

i thought LVE tackled like a beast. Barkley did not get away from him that I saw whenever LVE had to tackle him. He actually roughed Barkley up a couple times I thought. Was a good sign..
I think you’re putting a little too much on that. I don’t see anything rough about LVE’s tackling. He’s a fundamental tackler. Not powerful tho.

Oh, someone please find a clip of the hit Jaylon put on Eli tonight.

LOVED IT!!!

You could tell from the look on Eli's face he knew he was going to get blasted.
He is lucky Jaylon cut him some slack he could have cleaned his clock on that play

The play I loved was when an OL blocked him and he still bounced off enough in the direction of the ball carrier to bring him down. Most LBs go straight to the ground on that play. I don't want him starting any time soon, but he is a great backup that will be a terrific starter next year.
Lve?

As long as a lb doesn't get dragged for yards I'll take a wrap up tackler 9 out of 10 times. Especially when dealing with players who are dangerous in the open field.

LVE has a long, long ways to go but you can really see the physical skills. He is still pretty raw as a rookie from a small school and he still had 7 tackles in basically one quarter of play.

“Long, long” as in one season sure
