this board may as well be reddit

only can get traction if its something negative in every thread
The pitfalls of being anonymous. Some don’t feel the need to be honest. Or to shut up when they don’t have anything to say like they would in person. Social media and message boards give the spineless the strength to say the stupid stuff that crosses their mind. If people were forced to post next to their picture and name you would see comments change completely.

Jaylon and Vince Young made nearly the same amount of money in their NFL careers. Wow.

Cowboys Pro Bowler Jaylon Smith launches educational summit for minority entrepreneurs….

How are you helping improve the world again?
I actually do donate my time to Habitat for Humanity. I also am involved in donating my time in several different US Veteran organizations. I also am involved in Children's Miracle Network and Toys for Tots.

So...your point? I didn't say he wasn't involved. I said he's more into investing...according to Twitter feed.

Just was simply asking what do you do to give back. If everyone did what you did the world would be a much better place

Jaylon seems like a good dude, but I hated everything about his tenure here. He was a free lance player who seemed kind of tone deaf out there.

He had zero football IQ, so when the natural freak show athletic ability went away, he didn't give you much of anything.
I best described him as spastic. He was quick twitch like 100% of the time bouncing around all over the field, sidelines, etc. It's like he snorted pure can sugar between series and drank coffee by the gallons.

I think some of his investing are into programs to help start ups that don't have access to capital, etc.

The dude is doing good in this world. Bizarre that people have to nitpick him like some of you have.

Meh, people interpret written articles differently. One person's nitpick is another persons regular statement. There are people all over this world that are involved in bettering humanity. You don't hear those stories. With Jaylon, I am a bit jaded because Jaylon's life seems to be dictated by the concept of celebrating a tackle where the runner gained 5 yards on a 3rd and 4.

He's always been a great dude and I wish the best for him in life.
It is hard to relate to people just this overwhelmingly positive.
Most players would have retired where he fights on so kudos to him for that.
But I really do not need to watch him play football in 2023 as it isn't pretty.

But see that's the part that is bizarre to me. Yeah, he did goofy things on the field, but he also gave us one really good year of play before he went wonky.

So to me, I don't understand why people get "jaded" over a guy like that who is having success off the field. He was never a problem child. He never embarrassed the organization off the field. He went spaz on us, got cut, latched on elsewhere and has taken his money and used it wisely to better himself and others.

Yea, notice he just opened a new restaurant also....good for him. We often see comments from posters about players wasting their money or being broke after football and it's true. I don't get the bashing when Jaylon is doing positive things with his money and platform.

Can’t remember the number of times I saw him plug a hole after seeing the RB was heading through the other one.

“Giving back” is a phrase reserved for doing charitable work, typically to a community that helped someone along the way to become successful when they were poor or downtrodden. He’s doing none of that in what was related, only trying to make himself richer.

Signs of mental illness is making those things up in your mind.
Unfortunately all those happened, and more. Let's not forget the Superman diving through the air when there was literally nobody around him. He was a nutcase.

And like what was said earlier, that list is about his business ventures. Good for him. He's no longer with the Cowboys though.
