i looked at the vid again and yes u are right. he only confirmed its still regenerating. got a little too excited myself :D

assuming they can track the extent of the nerve regrowth extent AND it is really regenerating, Jaylon and cowboys should have a really good idea when it gets to the necessary place.
lets hope that is this year.
they could really mess around with other people and the fans...

Ragland is a two down LB. Smith was an every down LB. Not sure that who I'd compare him too. They were saying Kuechly before the injury.

Does that sound like Marinelli DTs?
It has not stopped lee from making tons of tackles no reason to think smith won't be successful with his speed

Not to mention his cover skills will be invaluable

my bad. he didnt say its firing. word he used was its regenerating.

This is still highly positive news because the answer wasn't simply "No.. Not yet".

Jaylon Smith = beast in 2017 (on track as expected)

I figured it had to be something like that. If he came out and said,"The nerve is firing" this place would probably blow up. I know I'd start counting the weeks until he could come off of NFI.
The timeline is suposed to be sometime this month or next for nerve to fire up, correct?

Can anyone confirm the nerve is firing for real?

Or is this just some more internet BS?

Best suited to a team with big interior DTs that can occupy lineman & keep him clean? Is that us?
Well by the time he will be able to play, there will be another draft and free agency period. All part of the process.

IF he can get back to where he was, then we have a real gem.

Assuming Jaylon get's healthy, I'm still not sure where he fits. He's a finesse LB that probably isn't a good fit at MLB or SAM, and Lee plays WILL - when he's healthy.

We don't have the kind of DL that wiped out the big guys to let the LB's make plays, our LB's have to engage - which is what made Rolando a good fit. He's huge and athletic

Luke Kuechly is ABOUT Jaylon's size, but he came into the NFL already known as a guy that was excellent at shedding and keeping himself clean to make plays.
