You think we are gonna draft a new one. Trade our draft to move up for Hewbert?
Yeah I think we will draft a new one. Might not be the first pick or even the first round but yes, we will draft one who can at least compete for the job.

Can’t afford him. Will need to pay Dak and Elliot and Jones and D-Law. Lol. My guess is Lee will either be a coach next year or be asked to take a pay cut. I think he gets 7 million next year but we have out with his contract.
Nah. Sign a stopgap vet or invest into a rookie deal. Dak isnt deserving of another contract

He has turned the corner this year— he is seeing the play develop and the game has slowed down for him. His athleticism is impressive and he brings a noticeable thump every time he makes a tackle.

That said— this defense as a whole is giving up too many big plays and they are not generating enough turnovers to be considered elite.

Hoping they get better the more they play together

It definitely pays to study with Sean Lee...!

Was the chinadoll Snake Lee asked to take a JJ discount after being drafted in the second round? F outta here, Jaylon should take these clowns for all that he's worth.
Sean Lee signed an incentive-laden contract that pays him below market value if he misses X amount of snaps. He also gave up the chance for an extra 2 million a few years back when he sat week 17 instead of playing the snaps to get the bonus.

So sick of people always hammering the kind of person who gives you everything he has. Every business would be successful if they had a bunch of Sean's on the payroll. Does he get injured too much? Yes. But I'll take a chance with a guy like that all day.

I wonder how many of the people who love the name calling ( which, in my humble opinion, dumbs down any argument from the beginning) would leave that kind of money on the table?

So the answer to your question is yes, Sean did give a discount.

Snake Lee signed an incentive laden contract because the team knew he couldnt stay healthy. Jaylon has been out there busting his *** getting better, on the field, every week. Why should he give dumb and dumber any sort of a discount? Sick of you soft shoe company men always wanting certain guys to take discounts or play on a franchise tag instead of giving them what they've earned.

he and LVE are going to be the cornerstones of this defense for many years - very much something to be excited about

Hopefully Tank as well, throw in a ballhawk in the secondary and I might start getting excited about our defense.

Have you actually looked at the cap situation or just making assumptions?

Be have a lot of cap space coming up.

I don’t think Dak is gonna be expensive
Don’t see any reason he would be
Lee will be dealt with I’m sure
Jones and Dlaw gonna be expensive
But our new first rnd QB will be cheap so that will help some lol

Jones I would only give a decent contract with incentives for takeaways.

Some of the smart cap guys may know but it would seem smith didn’t accrue a season his first year so he’s only a second year player it seems

Jaylon is safe, because JG doesn't meddle in the offense .

As Jerrah would say, he is 'the real deal' and an 'offensive guru' .

Bingo. Jaylon will be a RFA after next year. So they essentially have him locked up for 2 more years at a relatively cheap price.
