Wow sarge I can't remember the last time we spokeCorrect. Jaylon sucks regardless of scheme.

I'm wit you. I do feel nolan should install the defense at a pace. But for him to cry about it being too complex....in public.....shootbingo. Has to do with layers of things, one of which is NOT SCHEME. Jaylon either can't cut it, or he fails in his prep work during the week. Its one or the other. What was his excuse the last several years? Scheme was to simple and predictable? Ya'll have to recall that. That was the running theme. Now that we hired a real DC and staff, he is now complaining again. This guy just needs to get it together or lets find someone else.
Mosher, of course, ignores Nolan’s history. One of the criticisms of Nolan and why many of his more recent defenses were suspect is that his scheme was often too complicated.
So Mosher can take his dig at Smith but the reality is Smith is saying something that has been alleged before. Griffen just said a couple of days ago he’s going back to his three point stance, so already it seems the players don’t think Nolan is doing them any favors.
Granted not sure Smith should be airing this publicly.
IMO, when we look back I think we are going to end up admitting that Nolan was a questionable hire.
jAYLON THINKS MM and staff will listen to his demands lol. Thats comical. MM and staff have rings. They know what works and what doesn't. Jaylon needs to sit down, shut up, and dive into his playbook. He is the employee and his boss is MM and Mike Nolan. He doesnt seem to understand how this works. Pretty rich that a guy who decides to not tackle wants to tell a guy that has won a SB with that scheme what to do.
Can't get any worse so why not.
Thats where we are.

So last year, Rod's defense was too vanilla.
Now, Nolan's is too complex.
Which is it?
How did we not get this the first time? Bruce Carter, he of the 4.2 forty or whatever he ran. He was so fast, he didn't need instincts. And we bought it.I doubt Nolan’s Scheme requires you to get stuck on blocks and get roller-skated out the play down after down...
Joe Thomas had no problem jumping right in and looked like a real LB.
The problem is that Jaylon just doesn’t have the instinct that makes great LBs. It takes more than being a physical freak to be a LB in the league.

Yeah, I didn't see anything about it. It's like the scouts all fell in love, and didn't even evaluate that part of his game. Kinda like Mo.In fairness, not many questioned his instincts coming out of college. He was likely a Top 5-7 pick in the draft if he had never gotten hurt. That doesn't guarantee success by any means but you don't often see teams drafting a LB that high who lacks "instincts".

Nolan has been an average to horrible defensive coordinator his entire career. Those aren't the only two kinds of defenses one can have. I mean it's quite possible we went from one extreme with Richard/Marinelli to the opposite extreme with Nolan.
It will be interesting to see where the defense trends this season. The biggest disappointment was that he was supposed to change our ability to get turnovers and through two games, it looks like last year.
To SOME extent, MAYBE...but I imagine that will also be subject to change pending the results on the field.Evidently Nolan and McCarthy are listening not just to Jaylon but some other guys
"First and foremost, I feel like us as a group we have to get lined up correctly," defensive end Everson Griffen said. "We have to play our gaps correctly and we have to not beat ourselves. We cannot beat ourselves. We have to get lined up correct, make the tackles, make the calls. We've got to get the ball back for offense."
Thursday, head coach Mike McCarthy said it's possible the defense will scale back the volume within the scheme to help reduce missed assignments. After all, it's only been five weeks of actual on-field work since camp began.

Why would here be any different?
That was meant to be rhetorical, not a direct challenge to you.I don't know why it would be different. I never suggested it would.
