Jaylon Tolbert needs to be cut

He shouldn’t even have been on the field or even active.

He's next year's project.

Seems way over his head right now.
Given it's not an issue of courage and effort, he's just overwhelmed and not confident of himself.
And it's seems he's not near as polished and NFL ready as advertised.

if the likes of Dennis Houston, seem more polished and attune to routes, knack for pass over Tolbert, that
tells the tale with Jalen.
I'm for giving him an offseason to work with guru coaches, strength program, and another camp to see if he improves by leaps and bounds.

I'm not relying upon him enuff from staying away from drafting more WRs though. (even if we sign OBJ)
But i'm not moving on from Tolbert because he's overwhelmed as a rookie.

Because James Washington is a softie and still out and not ready to return -per broken foot rehab.
Tolbert would have never been game active.

Even if Simi Fehoko were healthy (expect him to stay on IR) i wouldn't see him as a factor either.

And apparently they don't like any of the practice squad WRs (ala Brandon Smith) enuff to bring them up to the active list.
So it's been very limited to the likes of Tolbert.

Still not close to being 100%. Looks fine on some routes. Then others he looks like he's running in mud. The problem is we are so thin at the position, we are forced to keep running Gallup out there.

I felt the same, but he's a rookie being directed by an official. It wasn't right and the official set him up to fail. MM covers it around 3:33 on post game interview on another thread.

I get that, but I wonder how he made that mistake. I'd have thought her first check the ball, adjust accordingly, and then check with the official to make sure that he's onside.

Me too and I also wonder why we had a rookie with little game experience in at that moment I'm time.

Yes, either the ref screwed him, he screwed up solely, or both. I still think he should have checked where the ball was, but the ref should have told him as well.

Agreed, checking where the ball is would be my first step as a wr, but what do I know? These guys make football look like trigonometry. Lol
