I’m shocked because one they’ve shown not to value the position, they’ve said they want to try Izzy as a free safety and he’s injury prone.Shocked they signed Hooker? Why? He's their only safety who plays over the top and has a unique skillset relative to the other safeties. He's more of the priority.
Kearse, Wilson, Izzy, Bell are all basically the same player.
Agree. With the exception of QB the roster is loaded.Say what you will. The front office has done an excellent job of building this team. Their plan is working. They have a solid team filled with young talent and veterans. They continue to add young talent and sign who they want to sign.
They are good shape at qb as well. 1 through 3.Agree. With the exception of QB the roster is loaded.
its a bad precedent. Bad business and can't sustain itself as is. Maybe at the next set f meetings they can rejigger it because I just don't see how the salary ca can remain viable when guys do this. Again,it aint my $ so whatever. Just my 2 cents. Im old lmao ,so feel a certain way about how business should be handled. Im usually neutral on these things but this stuck in my crawl a bit. My takes aren't personal btw, so I hope u don't take them that way. There are players doing this with every team. Nick Bosa in San Fran and Chris Jones in Kansas City are still doing it. If they give in without new deals, then we can talk about this being "beyond the norms."
I hope not stash, would love to see him here a few more years, imo.A nice going away present for a good player and team guy.
I think this is his last year in Dallas.
The Cowboys went from having a lack of good safeties to having a surplus.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not an indictment of his level of play at all. But it comes down to two things in my opinion:I hope not stash, would love to see him here a few more years, imo.
I do too. I really wish they could afford to keep everyone but there’s only so much cap to go around and there are several HUGE contracts about to hit the books.I hate that he is the one deemed expendable. I understand skill sets, but I really enjoy his game.
Dan Quinn effect imoI’m shocked because one they’ve shown not to value the position, they’ve said they want to try Izzy as a free safety and he’s injury prone.
This strengthens the play of the linebackers as well as run defense by scheme. There is a whole edge of improvement that will show itself now on the defensive side of ball.I’m shocked because one they’ve shown not to value the position, they’ve said they want to try Izzy as a free safety and he’s injury prone.
I can state right now, growth in the locker room and a cat's meow with here 49'ers and Eagles...Don’t get me wrong, it’s not an indictment of his level of play at all. But it comes down to two things in my opinion:
1. Dollars, and having the cap room to continue to pay him.
and
2. Having younger, less expensive options under contract capable of replacing him.
I think it is too barring a discount. i honestly feel like they were not going to bring Kearse back last season but the safety market took a hit and they were able to get him for a great price. He'd have to even take a cheaper deal to come back here. I think this is his last year here. I'm fine either way.A nice going away present for a good player and team guy.

You Big Dog. This is NOT directed at you, Hard, Coitus Interruptus The Media !!!!!!He earned it. He deserves it. No holdout or crapstorm in the media.
Cowboys have the best trio of safeties in the league.
