Persoanlly-I would like to Jenkins follow Jackson no matter where he lines up with over the top safety help. Newman takes Maclin and either CARP or Sensabaugh on Celek.

Anyone know for sure how we will line up?

Personally we need to get pressure on McNabb or nothing is going to work.

If you double Desean then Westbrook and McCoy are going to eat us alive underneath. If I were Philly I would go decoy with Celek the entire game and take Sensabaugh out of the game.

We need to get pressure or it's going to be a long night.

First off you have to take away the run. You can't allow the nonsense the Giants did.

Secondly you have to take away the deep ball, be it doubling Jackson or using some sort of deep zone, the deep ball has to be taken away.

Thirdly you have to watch out for the Philly screens which can be deadly.

It's a tough row to hoe defensively, but I think this defense can limit the Eagles to 21 points.

Will they? Who knows.

And can the Cowboy offense score more than 21 points?

We shall see.

I agree with the OP, you have to put Jenkins (the better cb at this point) on Jackson all night regardless of where he lines up. I could see Newman giving up some big plays trying to cover Jackson.. mainly cause of his speed. Jenkins on the other hand could come up with picks and is more physical than Newman.

tnew is the fastest and the most experienced corner and you have to put him on their no 1 wr.

I expect the same D as when we played Carolina. Newman on Jackson (Steve Smith) with some help over the top. Then the front seven can tee off once in awhile.

we can lay him out ounce ,I believe it will slow him down.;)

They can use Newman or Jenkins on him. It's motion and the slot that bothers me. I don't know if Scandrick can cover him. Well, to be honest I don't know the others can either.

Both safeties will have to cover him deep depending on what side of the field he's on. We can't have the defense turned upsides down trying to cover Jackson when you have Westbrook, Celek, and Maclin on the same field.

It's pressure on McNabb that will determine this game. Pressure and containment.

If the safeties play their zones correctly and dont get out of position, Jackson will be a non-factor. Sure he'll catch a few balls here and there but nothing close to all the pre-game hype would suggest.

That is the name of the game.

With TNew being burned as often as he has this year that still makes me leery. You just can't let Jackson get behind you. I would rather see Jenkins on Jackson no doubt. Give the kid a chance to get physical with Jackson and I think that will give our pass rush a better chance.

If they can get a few shots on Jackson like they delivered in the Atlanta game that will have an effect on a guy that is 175 lbs. soaking wet.

Philly is really good at protecting McNabb and letting Jackson to get free deep in the secondary.

We need to jam him, pressure McNabb, and don't allow him time to throw the deep ball. Thats one of the only things McNabb is good at as a QB.

TNew is so-so on coverage of deep balls mainly due to the fact he has trouble locating the ball in the air.

If we were to go into some situations without help over the top, I would prefer if be Jenkins for that reason.

it should be Newman with over the help top on Jackson, and let Jenkins shut down Maclin one on one

we shouldn't play a 2-deep zone, because Sensy is going to need to keep his eye on Celek

Jackson would run by Newman all day. Newman has been getting toasted most of the season now that they have him in press coverage. He's lost at least 2 steps from when he first entered the league. The Cowboys are going to have to double Jackson or he'll have a field day.

If Jackson is their number one guy, I would put Jenkins on him with some help deep and let Newman take out the other WR. But as anyone can see how even the voting is on this question, I think we'll just go with whoever is lined up outside. Newman vs. Jenkins is in many ways a wash, IMO.
