Persoanlly-I would like to Jenkins follow Jackson no matter where he lines up with over the top safety help. Newman takes Maclin and either CARP or Sensabaugh on Celek.

Anyone know for sure how we will line up?

I would much rather have Newman covering jackson then Jenkins, who is the much better player at this point, and mcnabb owns newman

Nope. Just do what Raiders did and b physical against Iggles Wrs. We win

What happened to Philly against Oakland was one of those on any given Sunday type games. It's November and the Cowboys and Romo are playing good as usual this time of year so todays game could go either way. A win or loss isn't going to make or break the Cowboys season like the last time they faced Philly. I'm more concerned about the game against Philly on Jan 3rd because a division title or playoff birth will probably be riding on that one just like last years season finale. Todays game is just a battle and the Cowboys have proven they can win those it's winning the war I have doubts about. Winning today probably isn't going to mean squat if the Cowboys don't beat Philly on Jan 3rd. That's the game that's going to matter.

All games matter. They all count the same. This is the most important game of the year. Why?? Because it's the next game.

Newman has given up some plays this year. The Giants game was tough. However, he played very well against Tampa Bay. They got that one play at the end of the half on him when he just slowed down on his own. The Cowboys should have protected their CBs better at the end of the half, imo. I wouldn't have given them a free shot at the end of the half after my blue-chip CB had blanked them.

Steve Smith got shut down for the fourth time by Newman. His pick iced that game.

Newman did a great job on Brandon Marshall and shut him down for almost the entire game until Marshall grabbed his shoulder bad and yanked him back and used it as leverage to get ahead of him. It could have been called offensive pass interference. Newman had to play catchup, and I think that affected his jump on that ball. With as well as Mike Jenkins is playing, and he's playing lights out, Pro Bowl football, I don't know why Dallas didn't just double Marshall at the end of that game.

He was solid at KC and just couldn't quite hang on to that diving pick when he hit the ground.

Roddy White got a TD on the goalline on a bunch formation, but Newman held White way below what he normally gets. Newman took him most of the game.

Newman has been lining up on the other team's best guy most of the season. That is why he is being targeted more. That forces the other team to throw the ball at him.

Newman has given up a few plays, but he's having a good year. He's forced some fumbles by jacking guys up.

I expect Dallas to give Jackson to Newman, and

Terence Newman is going to shut that little troll down.

Newman VS Jackson will decide this game.

Good observations on Newman; may I ask, have you played some DB in your life?

Thank you...I think both of these Eagles' WRs are being highly overrated.

I think its the other way around. I see McNabb as terribly overrated.

Sorry bro but they all don't count the same and history has proven that and the Cowboys history has proven that. The game the Cowboys won against Philly in week 2 last season didn't count near as much as the game they lost against them in the season finale. The Eagles and Cowboys season was riding on that game. Even though the Cowboys and Eagles split games last year Philly's win meant alot more. The two wins the Cowboys had over the Giants in 07 didn't mean near as much as the one win NY had over the Cowboys in the playoffs. Winning battles doesn't guarantee winning the war. It's the do or die games that show what kind of heart and character a team has. We'll find out in Dec and on Jan 3rd if the Cowboys and Romo are finally going to show some guts or continue to lay down like dying dogs. Todays game is just a battle and a win or loss by either team isn't going to determine the outcome of their season. We'll find out in Jan who's left standing.

What hysteria:confused: ? All I said was that Newman has not been quite as reliable as I am used to and that Hamlin sucks. I haven't been ragging on Newman. He just isn't having his best season, so going against a good speedy receiver makes me a little nervous especially if he has to count on Hamlin for help. I like Newman. He has been so good and lock down over his career that I had come to expect that from him. I hope he plays the way I have come to expect from him. If he does then Jackson will not have a big game against us.

i see what your saying...idk..i like Newman on speedy WR's, and i like it when we challenge him

So they count a 1/2 game or 1 1/2 games. They all count 1 game won or loss unless there is a tie. You're talking about a game with playoff implications. In fact the team that lost that game you're talking about was exactly like a playoff game. We went home for good.

This game is not a playoff game. The winner doesn't advance and the loser doesn't end their season.

It's an important game but the season goes on even if we lose. Not saying I don't consider the game critical to win but most division games are critical to the standings.

That's why this game isn't as important as some of the other games that will be played later in the season. This game isn't going to be half as big as the one these two teams will be playing on Jan 3rd. A loss by either team today isn't going to determine anything in the big picture. Dec is when you find out who the contenders and pretenders are. Games become more important late in the season because it's how you're playing as the playoffs are approaching that will determine your fate. Poor Dec-Jan play has determined the Cowboys fate the past 13 yrs. The Cowboys playing their best football of the season every Nov never gets them anywhere. You can recover and bounce back from losses this time of year. We're only at mid season and if fans want to read anything into todays game win or lose they obviously haven't been keeping track of the Cowboys.
